Last stand for the Grizz.

I think the Spurs will have trouble matching the physicality of either of these teams.

Re: Game Blog: Clippers vs. Grizzlies - Game 7
I started to bump the recent Joey Crawford thread. This is absolutely one of the most poorly officiated games I have ever seen. I don't see any bias, one direction or the other. Just inexplicably bad officiating. And, once again, it figures that Joey Crawford is involved.
It's not just that they are missing calls - they are simply refusing to make calls. And it's not just the contact - they are refusing to call things like travelling, too. I don't care if it is bad in both directions. It's inexcusable.

Memphis is not the only team being physical. And Evans and Martin aren't the only clips being physical.

Re: Game Blog: Clippers vs. Grizzlies - Game 7
No wonder why grizzlies think about reading Mayo he's so inconsistent.

Re: Game Blog: Clippers vs. Grizzlies - Game 7
Griffin is on the bench. That's why the clippers are winning....

I agree...allowing for players to play physically to position ones self is entirely different than allowing all out brawls every offensive possession which is what parts of this game has looked like.

Re: Game Blog: Clippers vs. Grizzlies - Game 7
I'm kinda surprised that Clippers are winning this game considering they don't seem to really play basketball.....they don't share the ball, they just play street ball.

Disagree 100%. This is game 7. Let 'em play. I much prefer this instead of Bavetta blowing his whistle every 5 seconds.

Yeah agree...both teams are being very physical...but Im not worried about any Clipper being to physical with the Spurs

Re: Game Blog: Clippers vs. Grizzlies - Game 7
If Clippers win the match up Evans-Bonner will be bad for us. Evans will go for 10 boards every game

Re: Game Blog: Clippers vs. Grizzlies - Game 7
A hand-check is one thing. Using one hand like a football stiff-arm is another. You're allowed to stay in contact with the ball handler, but not shove him farther and farther away from the paint. And you are no longer allowed to use the two-handed check. Putting both hands on the ball handler is supposed to be an automatic whistle - or at least that's what they said when they put the rule in place.
When you see a game like this, and none of the refs are making the calls, you have to think that there was a conscious decision not to blow the whistles.
