Re: Kevin Garnett in town!
Duncan and Garnett, two rival old-timers, putting aside their animosity and joining forces for one last run at championship glory.
NBA story of the year, tbh. :hat

Re: Kevin Garnett in town!
This thread is interesting as it comes a day or so after I heard from my source that Garnett could be headed to the Spurs in a trade package that includes sending Dejuan Blair and Tiago Splitter. :wow

That's right......free agents can't be traded. Isn't KG an unrestricted free agent?

Only a coward hides behind his source. Your source sounds like a quack who doesn't understand how free agency works.
Can't a player visit SA without some clueless shit thinking he's there to sign with the Spurs.

Re: Kevin Garnett in town!
It always strikes me as hilarious how the Ellis Crew always post intimating inside knowledge that is never shared on here proactively.
I get you gots to protect your sources, but give us some pre emptive tidbits at least once

Re: Kevin Garnett in town!
How can anybody even suggest KG wearing the proud silver and black??!? GTFO!

I personally never liked the guy but I respect his passion for the game. He hustles in every play and I know he would definitely help the Spurs defense!

And after all these years of rivalry it would be ironic for them to win a Championship together.
Garnett showed last year he still has a bit left as well as Duncan. Backup them up with Lorbek and Splitter, the Spurs would be have a very formidable frontcourt for at least the next two years.
I don't see why they wouldn't get both if KG wanted to come here. Our frontcourt depth is garbage anyway, plus Duncan and KG don't exactly play 30+ minutes al the time anymore either. Duncan: 25-28 mins. KG: 25-28 mins. Diaw: 20-23 mins. Splitter: 15-18 mins. Blair/Bonner/scrubs: 10-20 mins. Less minutes for Blair and/or the scrubs when we need the better guys to stay on the floor longer.
And yes, that equates to 96 minutes (48 mins x the two "big man spots = 96).
So I don't see why that wouldn't work. . . at all. Sure as hell beats playing Bonner for 15-20 mins or trying to hide Blair somewhere on defense for too long while we try to benefit from his good rebounding and scoring.

Is that a trick question?
Fifth title. Why else? Our team clearly won't get it done as is due to refs. We need someone like KG to put someone in the fuckin dirt to make up for the inevitable biased officiating in the playoffs for league-preferred teams we play next season.
