2012-13 coaching prospect: Phil Jackson
Perhaps a 100 million dollar a year contract with benefits including all the burritos he could eat served by plump hometown San Antone waitresses could entice Phil to return to the bench?

Re: 2012-13 coaching prospect: Phil Jackson
We're too old of a team for Phil to "finish". He's a talent vampire. Every team he's every gone to had at least been to the conference finals and he gave them that "nudge" over the top, and then rides that group of players into the ground. We're too advanced in the cycle for him to want to come here. I always thought Miami would be his next stop but they won it now, without needing him. OKC is where I would put my money.

Re: 2012-13 coaching prospect: Phil Jackson
Let Pop go back to the FO tbh
If he teaches the triangle to Kawhi we're golden
-
Re: 2012-13 coaching prospect: Phil Jackson
Though yeah Jackson doesn't go for a team that is balamcing rebuilding and pushing for a ring
He wants the team's FO figured it out

Andrea Kremer goes to Phil Jackson's rarely-seen home in Montana to discuss what's ahead in his life and whether a return to an NBA team is in his future. Real Sports debuts Tues., June 19at 10pm ET/PT on HBO. For more information on HBO Sports, visit http://itsh.bo/HKXeb8.

smug ego Phil never missing a chance.
"They're the Lakers, a great organization blah blah the refs will always be there to suck them off blah blah..... They'll be fine going forward. Whether or not they'll be successful i don't know. But they'll be fine."
:lol They'll be "fine" but maybe not "successful" says Phil.

Re: 2012-13 coaching prospect: Phil Jackson
It is an honor to be coached by only one coach in one's career
-
Re: 2012-13 coaching prospect: Phil Jackson
Phil seemed totally disinterested when the Lakers cut his salary from $12M to $10M per year in his last season with the Lakers. I guess he would demand the double of what Pop earns.
And I'm not convinced that the Spurs have the right players to run the triangle tbh. Parker isn't that good shooting 3's. But if there is a coach that can deliver 'ships, that's Phil for sure.

Oh and a spelling error to boot! You're elated.

Re: 2012-13 coaching prospect: Phil Jackson
Phil doesn't cotton to rivals. He pretty much dismantled LA's whole front office, even booting The Logo. The result is that they are left with Mitch Upchuck and Jim Buss, and an old roster. That's a worse front office than our center position, post DRob.

The Lakers hadn't figured it out in '06 when he went back.

I dunno, I have no idea what "It was coatailers do" was supposed to mean in context, either.
