He's not an historically bad shot blocker, merely far below average for a 7 footer.
He's Brook Lopez with 3 point range. :lmao
Would you trade him for Splitter, may truly be the question. Lillard isn't Parker, but someday he could be. He's damn good already, though.
When was the last time a Spur PF or C not named Tim scored 29 points?
I'm guessing Blair?
Who other than Blair? And when was that?
The last time a Spurs big could play offense other than TD was the Admiral, tbh...
PF is the Spurs' biggest weakness, but the only things the Spurs need in that regard is someone who plays solid post D and can finish on the PnR or shoot from 3 even.
Unluckily Bargs doesn't play solid D, just passable D, and that's with a defensive-minded coach in Dwane Casey.
EDIT: I seem to remember Malik Rose scoring 34 once.
I can't believe such an outrageous proposition turned into a 4 page thread.
Do it .
Tired of this one-eye TP .
It's not that outrageous. Lillard is already good and will likely be an All Star or on the fringes for the next ten years. He's also gifted at distributing the ball and can shoot. This thread was about Lillard. Andrea is a scoring threat (and we haven't had one and Splitter even doesn't really for a defensive threat, I'm afraid).
:deadhorse
Makes me hope that Diaw can shed some pounds and become an offensive threat, again.

Let's hope it doesn't matter, but when my eye got fucked so did my shooting and when I had to wear glasses when I played, it made it even more difficult. I don't look at my hands when I dribble, but that ball just disappeared from my periphery. I think Lillard's a sure thing. He's a righty that makes you think he's a lefty and he's so good at that, his arsenal is incredible.
Your eyesight is probably one of the most important things to have as a PG. You need court vision.
What? I won an award for best point guard at the largest basketball camp in the midwest. Try parking your car with one eye and see if you run into something. Muscle memory means shit if you don't know what your muscle memory is relative with. When I finally played again, the airballs were frustrating, and it took a long time before I relearned how to shoot (but I lost what I once had). Tennis? Fuck it, forget about it. Since Tony doesn't shoot very far out, I hope that it doesn't affect him, what worries me more is what these glasses will do to his dribbling-periphery.
Bargnani has amazing skills. He can shoot, drive and if he wasn't determined to be the LAZIEST basketball player in the league he has the length to rebound, block shots and then some. If he wanted, he could be a beast on each end of the court But.........He is not. Lazyness is not tolerated on the Spurs and as far as Lillard he better be able to handle pressure from coach like Tony did. Terrible trade unless Bargnani was all that I mentioned above.
You want to know what's crazy? If he had Matt Bonner's work ethic he'd be one of the best players in the world. Bargnani's lazy as can be. I'm a fan though of him as a player.
