you would think he was a shooter...
Figures he would start making his shots in freakin' July.
It's clear we need the WCF moved to an elementary school gym...
Wonder if he was actually trying to make that last shot and just got lucky with the bounce.
Champion of the meaningless, no-pressure shot.
If Bonner ever made it to the 3 point contest during all star weekend, he would breeze past the 1st two rounds, but in the final he would brick everything. Probably be the 1st player in history of the event to miss all of his attempts...
That last shot was pretty nice.
Bonner shot the lights out in that gym, tbh . . .
He was playing against a reporter there. If the reporter kidnapped a family member and told Bonner he'd only release the person if Bonner wins the competition, the reporter would've won GUARANTEED.
I agree it's all mindset. Bonner's got to take the mindset of he doesn't care what happens and just shoot freely. No overthinking it. He's got to have the mindset that if he has enough space to get the shot off, it's going in.
I've defended Bonner alot in here but there is no question in my mind now that he needs to go. I thought a season where he wasn't relied on too much would allow him to just play his game. Sadly, it wasn't true.
I don't mind missed shots...what I mind is that he REFUSES to shoot the ball if anyone even begins to run at him.
..........I hate Bonner
Bonner hardly played in the WCF. Hes a solid 4th-5th big man, why are people still bitching about him ?
ive actually seen bonner at spectrum about 2 years ago and besides his shitty workout routine
he actually practiced that bounce shot for about 20 minutes
And ruined the offensive flow of the Spurs by either passing up shots by pump-faking and killing the spacing, or bricking them like he does every year after March.
Why is he still on the roster?
Why is he even a NBA player?
He is not fast, don't have a great wing span, can't defend, can't jump, can't dribble, can't pass, can't shoot in pressured situtation and worst of all, his presence give confidence to opponents.
Frustrating to see a guy with a shot that pure scared to take it when it's open for him.
