People make a big deal out of the Spurs needing a PF or C. They need a frontcourt player who can defend both PF and C and shore up the interior defense, switch on pick and rolls. They also need more post scoring so it would be ideal if that player can score with his back to the basket. what about robin lopez. he fell out of favor last year with the suns and no way the suns want to pay him next year to be gortat's backup. they extended a qualifying offer and i'm not too sure how the logistics of a trade would work out. a sign and trade swap of lopez and lorbek might benefit both teams. suns get someone to play next to gortat and the spurs get a 7 footer can develop a solid all around game and is already a decent shotblocker. he's also mobile enough to play in the spurs' new system.
