People make a big deal out of the Spurs needing a PF or C. They need a frontcourt player who can defend both PF and C and shore up the interior defense, switch on pick and rolls. They also need more post scoring so it would be ideal if that player can score with his back to the basket. It's hard to get that combination at a price the Spurs can afford and if you have to choose you have to go with the defense first.Quote:

ive been to the grizzlies forums and they always wanted him to get more playing time
I wouldnt mind Hamed, especially if his contract starts at around what he was making last year with Memphis ($1.3). I just dont know why the Spurs would want to get rid of Splitter, unless they afraid of having to overpay him next year.

The +/- thing is what initially caught my eye with Udoh. He had that in Golden State, and then again in Milwaukee.
