I don't know what you are looking at. I really love that they bring back the same team as last year.

I'm looking forward to watch the beautiful passing basketball if they can duplicate what they did last year.

At this point, I don't really care about the ring anymore. I was really enjoying last year Spurs more than any other Spurs in the past several years. To watch Leonard grew in front of our eyes, the swagger from SJ, and the magical passing from Diaw. To be honest, I have never seen any other team play as well as the Spurs in their 20 game winning streak(offensively).

I admit Duncan is a much better defensive big than Amare though :stirpot:

I like that they bring back the team that was so successful last season. But the Spurs will never be in a better position to win the title than last season. Ok, the refs really screwed them, but the Thunder were really good as well. Anybody can say Ibaka will not shoot 11/11 FG again, but the series showed, if something like this does not happen, another thing will. The Spurs need a defensive PF, and I do not see how they can afford one.

And don't forget the Spurs stayed relatively healthy (except Manu) compared to other teams. With key Spurs players in the Olympic tournament I expect an 82 game season to take its toll as it did the years before last season.

So the Spurs will likely stay above "mediocrity", but too much will be missing coming season to get over the hump ...

Tbh, will take that if it means WCF, with a shot at the finals and with luck to a 'ship.

We've been the top seed in the West the past couple of years. Out of 30 teams, we lasted in the final four, and was 2 wins from the Finals. I don't see how you can call that mediocre.
