It's really hard to imagine him not being bid on....he's to valuable of a piece to have locked up for ~3M for 3 years. If he clears, this has potential to be a game changer for the Spurs and it would be quite a bit of fortune for the Spurs.
Not only would he be on a likely 1 year deal (which is great), he would be a significant upgrade over Bonner and it would all happen early enough in the year where he would have a full training camp/year to adjust and gel.

Yeah, I've pretty much given up hope on Scola. 95% he gets claimed, tbh.
The message Scola sent when he didn't clear up the knee injury with the MRI, is very clear. After the Odom fiasco, its hard to understand why the Mavs want to force things with Scola. If he gets claimed, Scola will lose at least $5M over 3 years.

One would argue that at $3 million/season he would be a good trade bait even a year from now...
