Game Blog: Spurs vs. Hawks - Summer League Game 1

The first 2012 Summer League game for the Spurs starts at 7PM CST -- or in less than an hour. You can purchase Summer League Broadband for $5 and that will allow you to watch all the games. Can't beat the price and the picture and sound quality has been great for me.

Anyways, this will be a very interesting game. The Spurs will apparently run their offense through Kawhi Leonard. Cory Joseph should also play a big role on this summer league squad.

If I'd have to guess the starting lineup, I'd say:

PG Cory Joseph
SG James Anderson
SF Kawhi Leonard
PF Eric Dawson
C Alexis Ajinca

Those first four players are probably a lock for the starting lineup. Ajinca's spot could go to whichever bigmen has been most impressive in the practice over the last few days.

The Hawks should be a good test. They beat the Wizards by 20 points in their first game despite Washington starting five NBA players. Atlanta's most interesting players are John Jenkins -- a great shooting swingman who was their first round pick. Keith Benson in the middle is a solid prospect, as is John Surna -- a rookie small forward. Other notable players on the Hawks are Gani Lawal (who was in Spurs training camp last season) and point guard Brad Wanamaker.

edit: oops, ok nba tv is not broadcasting it live, but if you purchase summer league package, it's available

I had the same problem on Chrome on my netbook. Switched to Firefox on my PC and it works.

That appears to be an error. Should be 4.99. You might want to call. Quality is much improved and well worth the 5.

I want to see Denmon get some shots. Plus get some pg play.

Just tuned in. I know it's still too early to judge, but did anybody stand out in that quarter?

Pretty horrific quarter overall. No real bright spots, but Dawson looked solid on his jumper and Kawhi's work in the post on offense was solid.

Hopefully Zeller never plays again.

Pretty ugly. First look at Denmon against NBA caliber players and he looks small/unathletic :(

Yeah, IIRC, Pop is usually present. I remember seeing him there in 2010 but he was sitting in the restricted sections so the fans couldn't say hello.
