Ginobili retirement after this year?

Tbh, I think he will stick around until Duncan's gone. Somebody will convince him to stay until the team really splits up. I think rather than everyone leaving one year after another, it'll happen at at once and we'll go into full rebuild via tanking HARD for 2 years. Concindently, that'll also be the last year of Parker's contract, which means he will likely be traded for draft picks and/or prospects. So the tank and rebuild may only take a single year if we get lucky.

I think Manu could coach in the NBA.

I think Duncan would be an excellent coach. He has the mental acuity for coaching.

His turnovers killed us against the Thunder. Also starting him in game 5 negatively affected Parker's aggressiveness. Dumb move by Pop.

Pop's timing sucked. I would have started him game 3 on the road in OKC. Game 5 was just way too late.

DG wasn't looking good those first two games, so personally, I would have started Manu in game 3 on the road to take some of the pressure off of Danny.

Its hard to imagine a guy like Manu being retired. I hope he stays healthy and hangs it up when Tim decides to.

exactly... but I hope at some point, when he realizes he can't play good ball anymore, he stops playing. if this happens after this season, ok, let him go. I just hope that we don't resign him for big money... Do it for the team, Manu!

Game 3? The Spurs were 2:0, apparently no changes were needed. Game 5 was ok, imo. The problem were the 21 TO's.

I disagree completely. Just because we were 2-0 doesn't mean jack shit.

Danny Green didn't play well in the first two games and then we were going on the road against the team with the best home crowd in the NBA. It would have been a very good move to start Manu in game 3. Could have changed the whole series.

In 2005 first round of the playoffs Pop had Manu coming in off the bench, then when it came to the Phoenix series and Pop started Manu on the road. He didn't need to do it then either, but he did because it gave us the best chance to win on the road games.

Do you guys envision Manu reinventing himself as a PG in the NBA after the age of 37 maybe??? I think he has what it takes.

I think Manu has been a point/shooting gaurd for a while now. I don't see him transitioning to pure point gaurd because point gaurds are starting to become the dominant position in the league, while the shooting gaurd position is going opposite. I see him continuing his shooting gaurd/point gaurd role until he calls it quits.

i like it more in english with doug collins and whoever else was calling it, but i couldn't find it.

i remember when he dropped 48 on phoenix in the regular season and got us a w when we were down by double digits to start the 4th quarter iirc.

it's really too bad he fouled dirk in the '06 playoffs. that mavs team was scary and we came so close to beating them. i think we would've swept the heat in finals.

i hope he can finish his career without further injury. i'd would hate to see him go out that way, i'm sure he would too.

Refresher course. The WC finals

Game 1 and 2 he scored 26 and 20 Spurs win both. Game 5 he scored 34 at home and had the team in a great position to win.

The games where he was needed and mattered the most he raised his prodution to the level we all expected. Maybe not every game but at 34 he still put up some impressive numbers that only stars players can do.

When the going gets tough in the play-offs, this team needs Manu being Manu more-so than Tony being aggressive to have a chance of winning. It will be more of the same next season. Aside from Tony and on a lower level Tim and kawai, none of his teammates will come close to replicating that.
