Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
Quick, what do you see?
If you guessed, Barack Obama campaign's tumblr.com memorial to deceased astronaut Neil Armstrong, give yourself a gold star!
It was accompanied by this text:
Quote:
Neil’s spirit of discovery lives on in all the men and women who have devoted their lives to exploring the unknown—including those who are ensuring that we reach higher and go further in space. That legacy will endure—sparked by a man who taught us the enormous power of one small step.
—President Obama on the passing of Neil Armstrong
I can see the conversation now; "That dude that stepped on the Moon first, died this weekend. Let's get a picture of the President staring at the Moon and write something nice."
Did they bother to even stage the photo? Nah, just go back until you find what you're looking for...hell, there are probably photos of the President staring at all sorts of objects on the White House Flickr page we can gip.
These people are pathetic. The man who represents the culmination of President John Kennedy's mandate to go to the Moon dies and all President Obama can muster is a tweet and a recycled White House picture?

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
Could have been worse. For instance, he could have given Armstrong's family an ipod.

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
In the pic I think he's looking at Venus and wondering if Cantor would be interested in making the first manned flight there.

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
the other guy has a weird hat.

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
OMG COMMENTING ON CURRENT EVENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!!!!!!
Jesus Christ Yoni, get a grip
-
Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
He's connecting the dots?
-
Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
To Yoni's ilk, the dark lighting of the photo validates their theory that Obama is a shadow boss serving his Kenyan socialist masters, tbh.... :lol

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
Luckily for Yonivore, this worked out well either way. If the President didn't do enough to honor Neil Armstrong, he could criticize his response as being too minimal; if the President did too much (which, likely, would have been anything more than he did), Yonivore could criticize the response as a political ploy intended to exploit Armstrong's life for some political gain.
Win-win.

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
It's a little known fact that NASA employs Obama's ears for the SETI project.

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
Yoni does this every 4 years. :wakeup

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
Should've been classy.
Like the RNC decorating committee.

Really? I honestly don't think he is going to make to November 6th. The guy has been in an ever increasing emotional tailspin. What happens if Obama is re-elected? Does he implode?

Flags at half mast Friday for Neil Armstrong.
And yeah, I thought linking it to him gazing at the moon was his typical narcissism.

When Obama got elected he simply dropped off for months to a year after relentless posting of how Obama was a terrorist and was going to enslave the white race. I guess he has a bunker or something.

This sounds exaggerated

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
Might as well turn this useless thread into something meaningful...
Here's a toast to Neil Armstrong, a great American :toast

He disappears again for 3 years or so... only to reappear later on, further proving Barry wasn't the Anti-Christ and the apocalypse never happened...

For whatever it's worth, I wasn't passing on the President's use of social media or the specifics of this message. While Neil Armstrong (and the team of thousands who worked on Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo) undoubtedly inspired a substantial number of those who have grown up after July 20, 1969 to look at the moon as something achievable and to see the moon as a symbol of the limitless nature of exploration, I probably wouldn't have chosen to convey my respects to him that way.
Instead, I'll choose this:

Indeed. Neil Armstrong was a true American badass and the epitome of a hero.

Mr. Armstrong earned his mega man card long before he stepped on the moon. That X15 shit at Edwards was crazy.
:toast Sir.

Update (4:51 p.m.): Isaac Aguigui, the alleged leader of the anarchist militia group, bears a striking resemblance to one "Isaac Aguigui" identified as a 2008 Republican National Convention page by Reuters, as Gawker's John Cook points out. View the side-by-side comparison of his current mug shot and 2008 RNC photo here.

Re: Obama as a Rorshach ink blot test
It's going to take more than 4 republican soldiers to overthrow the government.
Why assassinate the man? He has a family and his post is not permanent. Really stupid.
