I watched the whole game. I am not writing off the Lakers until they get Nash back. I don't think he will revolutionize things but it is December and they are battling injuries so I am trying not to get too excited. But man watching Varejao really made me want to see him in a Spurs uniform. I have previously stated that he might not be a good fit, but he should some more than decent passing ability and a nice little jumper. This dudes asking price is way too high right now, but if it comes back down to earth and they would go for a package centered around Jax expiring deal, there would be a really tough decision to make.

they are so freaking lazy/unconvincing and slow on defense. I think people might finally catch onto the fact that kobe isn't first team all-defense. He loses his guy often.
Kobe has actually been shooting really well this year, which is super unlikely to continue. it's amazing to think he's playing at such a high level and they're still this bad. Obviously, they're missing 2 main guys. But their bench is bad. It's not like every team needs to have the spurs' depth, but you need some talent on the bench. Lakers really don't have much there.
they'll get better, i suspect. If Gasol returns to his previous form and nash stays healthy, they'll be dangerous. Hard to see from the team that exists right now them putting it together in time, especially considering kobe will likely regress. he shot like 43% last year, for goodness' sake. He's already on his way back down to his career average (or lower, hopefully)

I was born and raised in San Antonio, but live in Los Angeles, so i watch most of the Laker games(mainly because i want to see em lose their asses). I honestly think they may miss the playoffs. Kobe's older, Dwight isn't dominant, Pau is all done, Metta is a joke, Nash who knows???, and the bench is the worst ever. I dont think these guys can fit into Mike's system, and he only knows how to coach one way. Look for the Lakers to make another BIG trade. Laker land seems to think Ryan Anderson can save them.
