Not to sound pedantic, but I am all for the refs not considering the score or the time on the clock when calling fouls or these things. Too often I hear that a ref should swallow his whistle if it's near the end of a game and the score is lopsided, but that's about the same concept as running a red light at night when there's no one in sight (but a cop). They won't let it go and they shouldn't. I think the arbitrary foul calling is bad enough, but to have people like Sean Elliott and other commentators mention home calls vs road calls, superstar calls vs rookie calls and how different points in the game should have different thresholds for fouls actually discredits the integrity of the game. We don't do that with the NFL. A team can be up 40 points with 20 seconds left and a pass interference is still a pass interference, offsides is offsides and so forth.

NBA refs should not have carte blanche to affect the outcome of the game. They should ref the same, always, at least as much as possible.

I realize you weren't suggesting otherwise, just that they have to consider that Parker had no motive to flop (other than maybe getting to the line to pad his stats). I just rather them not consider any of that or show bias for or against a player based on fouls they've committed in the past.

Tony got a fucking warning for that? How was that a flop? He clearly got pushed in the back, and then looked to be jumping and reaching out to try get the rebound anyway. Fucka gets pushed, then tries to grab the loose ball anyway and gets a warning? Bad call right there. That was not a fucking flop.

Homer here, but what I saw was Parker being surprised by the rebound and awkwardly jumping for the the ball. Non-call, no flop.

True, sorry. The "just about" was unnecessary.

Every point guard in the NBA does that. It's standard operating procedure to flail and yell when you get the ball stripped. Hell, CP3 is the best PG in the game and he flails, yells, takes out his mouthpiece and stomps around the court for the next minute screaming at each individual ref when he gets the ball stripped going to the basket.

So according to all warnings and fines how many flops does the league think there have been all season? In reality there are probably a few each game
