Place your bets. If Portland does a sign and trade .. it does not count for Portland, it counts where he ends up.
I'm also making some Baseball vBookies in a minute in the Baseball Forum.
Thanks for playing.

Damn - talk about a quick way to win or lose money! :lol
if he signs with Portland and then gets traded to SA...which choice is it?

Let me clarify that by changing the wording. Thanks.
It's probably wishful thinking but who knows?
I bet with NJ, this way I will win both ways.
I bet he ends up with the Spurs. I won't be happy with it unless they find a way to get him and resign Brown but I still think he ends up here.
I'm guessing Sacramento...seems they would benefit greatly from this. Also, at 12-1 odds, I gots to go for it.
All in, NJ.
I bet NJ.
SAR is going to get minutes there. With Horry inked and if Scola comes in, we're too crowded in the front court to offer this guy a ton of PT. I doubt he wants to give up being "the guy" at his position on his team to be a role player.
From the Spurs standpoint, I can't see Pop and RC getting in a frenzy about SAR now that Horry has reupped. And this could be Pop going CIA on us, but I also recall Pop saying that we hoped to get Scola here this year. The Spurs would've given up on Scola before now if the project had failed. With Horry and Scola backing up Tim at PF, I can't see Pop and RC straining to work in SAR.
The Spurs need a small forward to back up Bowen, and I can't see them moving Rasho or Nazr to bring in another big forward.
I went with NJ - i think the lure of playing a starting position (which he probably wont get with Tim, Bruce + Nazr/Rasho already here) next to Jason Kidd, VC and RJ is pretty tempting for him.
Starting position > Championship?
By signing with NJ, that is basically what he would be saying.
People have to stay active with the boards during the offseason, usually with preposterous and overblown trades and signings. The Shareef Abdur-Rahim speculation was exactly that --
The man will be a New Jersey Net.
he will go to nj cause hes already dinning with jason kidd
Who would like to play in New Jersey? That's my question. New Jersey would be my last place to play in the NBA. No fans, no tradition, no buzz around the team at all. I still wonder why Jason Kidd signed there after he was offered San Antonio. Not that I wanted him, but New Jersey.
I can't believe Shareef will sign there. I'm picking Miami, Sacramento, or San Antonio. All pretty nice places to live and work, esp. Miami.
is miami a nice place to live? isn't it more like a holiday city covered with tourists.
I believe they're moving to Brooklyn in two (?) seasons.Quote:

Watch.
We're watching. Not a peep from anybody else so far. Why would anybody back-bid a lot more money all of a sudden?
I recognize you're obsessed and all, but it's getting a trifle ridiculous at this point.
Anyway, Atlanta is by far the worst place to play in the league. What an awful sports town. At least New Jersey is within the NYC media orbit and gets continual mention in their sports pages. Plus everything will change when they go to Brooklyn.
I'm sure he could get over the pain of playing for his hometown Hawks again for an extra $25 mil or so.
Obsessed? Um, ok. We might as well shut this board down for the summer because we can't have any 'talk' at 'SpursTalk.com'...
He's going to NJ. He gets to start and have more playing time.
i cant see him playing for the mle. who knows though, its a tough bet. nj and portland might talk and get another team involved in a trade... both to get him the extra cash if he really wants to be there and to give portland and their new coach nate something / someone they want? that also might be a reason san antonio isnt out of the running for him yet.
Miami IMO is a great city. For a young single guy it's heaven, esp is you play basketball and make millions of dollars. But then again, Shareef is married and a family guy so who knows.
I would rather play in Miami then New Jersey/Brooklyn that's for sure. I think we can rule out any team that doesn't have a shot a the playoffs. He's repeatedly said that he wants a winning atmosphere. That's why New Jersey sounds weired to me. That's not a winning team. Barely made the playoffs last season and this season won't be any different IMO.
WTF? Players can play for NJ, but it doesn't mean they have to live there. They can live in NYC!! you can't beat that
NJ.
Yes, that is indeed where I want him to go. Here's hoping this makes it work.
..
Bump.

Hear that song? vBookie Cash is on the radio.
When he actually signs, we'll pay it out.
Given that Rod Thorn is involved, that makes sense.Quote:

I'm only bumping this so I remember to pay it out on Tuesday.
Hey Kori,
This isn't updated yet ? Still it shows bidders for NJ have money :lol
The bidders from NJ are keeping their money.
I'm just giving the 2 people who picked Sacramento their money too. We have to go into the database and do it manually. I'll see if timvp will do it now.
Thanks !Quote:
