They are doing much the same this game. Pop had to play Neal and Bonner together or we would be up by even more.
:lol Danny Green has been on him almost exclusively, and the Spurs are bringing bigs out to the pick and rolls and putting a lot of pressure on him. It's not remotely the same thing.

Translation: I like talking out my ass.
Spurs didn't hedge. The bigs stepped up but they didn't hedge. They zoned up cutting off the penetration and covering up the roll. The Spurs guards crowded them so they couldn't get shots off. The defense was excellent in the second half of the last game and for the majority of the game today. Parker played Curry a lot especially in teh first half. CJ was on him when they shared the court as well.
and saying the Warriors 'coasted' is just ignorant. You just don't want to admit the Spurs defense improved because of your title.

The difference is that Pop has gotten to the big dance and won it all more than Karl has.

Karl's had a chance to beat Jordan in '96 if he had put Payton on him earlier in the series.

Pop needs to step back to the front ofc and begin afresh with new and younger blood. I am an old man myself and I know when it is time to put your efforts into other - more appropriate - things. The fire does not continue to burn as bright as when you were young and had plenty of fuel and fire and guts and passion.
Just the way of life - no shame in it - but Pop cannot and will not lead the Spurs to another title. I would be ecstatic if he made me eat my words - but sadly - as a die-hard life-long spurs fan....I am calling it like it is.
Pop needs to retire.
If Pop cannot get past Mark Jackson - here is his past years record;
Embarrassed and schooled by;
Avery Johnson
Alvin Gentry
Lionel Hollins
Scotty Brooks
....
Mark Jackson?
So it's Pop that is incapable...
our team, if coached by Bud or someone else, IS a championship level group?
Have you noticed who actually steps on the floor? IMO if we win the whole thing with this group it will NOT be because of superior talent. You can blame the FO office for not blowing the team apart, but the fact that you KNOW Pop lacks the fire is absolutely ludicrous.
I personally don't like all of his decisions, and really am growing tired of Pop feeling the need to punk someone in the media every press conference to satisfy his reputation.
Your post however is total BS. Pop is automatically outcoached if we lose a series? Because we know our talent is superior... Get outta town. You little game is so obvious.

Except he didn't.
He also went small when his team's biggest advantage was athleticism and size (he has a bunch of talented 7 footers on his roster in Denver) against a run and gun team and decided to try and beat them at their own game.

OKC had a younger Big 3 but the Spurs were up 2-0...

We lost to a better team. Harden left and Westbrook is injured and now people think OKC is beatable.
Can you really see people wiping their brows with relief if Brooks left instead? Oh hell we can beat the Thunder, Scotty's gone!

Change that last part to the lakers - and it applies....the lakers aren't scary without PJ.

So when Dallas beat the Lakers 4-0 that elevated Rick C. over Phil as a coach?
Please stop before you hurt yourself.
