Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
I noticed this, but you know what? It's nothing new. The media has never given the Spurs their due. Actually, I should say most of the media. The guys on ESPN and ABC don't, but the guys on TNT definitely do. Chuck and Kenny respect the hell out of the Spurs. It's pretty much unbearable watching the Spurs on ESPN/ABC with the volume on, and I can't remember when it wasn't.

Good post! I agree 100%

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
Tirico: I think the ball hit Bogut on the hip when his foot was out of bounds.
Hubie: Yes, but did he have possession?
WTF?

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
No Shite . Missus was in the background . She has no idea who Hubie Brown is but said he showing a lot of bias towards GS.
When Spurs did something good , it was GS playing bad. When GS did something of significance , they are great.
His love affair with Bogut was even more comical.

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
Listening to the local Golden State announcers could not be worse ... I hate it when Hubie Brown explains what the Warriors have to do better here and there ... and if they do it, he says "there you go" ... I mean, does he have a dog?
I say roll over Warriors and you get a biscuit ...

I know it's just a joke but... Come on, that's not funny.

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
ABC/ESPN on a Sunday afternoon game rooting against the Spurs? I hate games on ESPN/ABC because if your a Spurs fan you know that the announcers will lean to any
team other than the Spurs. Turn off the sound on the TV then turn on WOAI to listen to the game. I do this every time they have our game on. Will someone start a countdown clock on how many days David Stern has left....

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
I've always liked Hubie, but I completely agree with others claiming Hubie has been a GS homer in this series. Honestly, I believe he's following a directive from ABC/ESPN because, if anything, he's always been pro-Spurs.

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
As espn has gained power over the years, they feel comfortable showing more and more bias towards teams they want to win.

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
Normally a Hubie defender and I like his knowledge of the game, but last night was painful to listen to. He really needed to reel it in on the GS love.

That was my favorite Hubieism from last night.
Close second was the Curry-Manu tipped ball out of bounds play that they replayed several times to figure out what happened.
Hubie: "Clearly off Manu."
End court replay shows ball going off of Curry's hands...
Hubie: "Well, that is the clearest view, and it does show the ball going off of Curry, but all of the other shots were inconclusive. This ball should stay with the Warriors."
Da fuck?

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
As annoying as Hubie is, it is the announcer's job to reel in the color guy, and Tirico completely failed at that. He's just as much a GS cheerleader as Hubie is.

Agreed, Hubie is one of my favorites. He IS very knowlegable and is a very good announcer. The bias he is showing towards the GSWarrior is definately evident and gets under my skin too. I think Marv Albert is the only other announcer that I'd rather have covering a game tbh..

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
Yesterday's commentary was pretty awful. I love how Hubie was praising Bogut because he was able to avoid picking up fouls in the 2nd half. The best crew on tv right I would say is Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller.

i agree, it was too much.

Re: Somebody needs to get Hubie Brown a fresh diaper, tbh..
I had to mute it for awhile too. But that's not the first time I've muted an ESPN/ABC broadcast.
