I hope we do not lose to this damn team, I swear I WISH we won today so we can close this one out fast! They are annoying as hell, it starts from their coach.

Now it all makes sense:
Bush attacked Irak because of Dub fan God, didn't he?
God = Douche
Will he blame God when the Warriors lose?
I cracked up when I saw this. :lmao
y'all all need the lord in your life!!!
By the God reference does he mean a devine being or David Stern?
Jackson has a very young team and seems to believe that if he can get them to believe that God gives a hoot about a basketball game that they will play above their level.
From a psychology standpoint, he may be right.
But that must mean that he really doesn't believe that they have the superior skills. And he is right in that assessment.
It would also be great if we could get the Stripper he cheated with a front row seat next to the visitors bench (although I think she's in prison now)
If there is a God then the Warriors are going to lose, so we don't have to listen this guy's wife sing the National Anthem again. The stripper probably has a better set of pipes on her anyway.
Was God's hands also all over det stripper that Mark Jackass cheated on his wife with? :lol
EDIT: Damn, DPG beat me to it :lol
They have Mark Jackson and the whole GS team praising God after every game.
Well if that's the case, we have David Robinson and pastor Max Lucado interceding for us, devoted Christians who love their beloved San Antonio Spurs....SO if it really came down to that, we would also have a reason to say we also have God looking over our team smh
HOWEVER, I think all of that is irrelevant in sports.
That's why I agree with all of you, leave the "GOD" part out of the picture. It will come down to effort, heart and execution, regardless of the players or coaches' faith.
And I personally have no problem with athletes giving glory to God after games, but just don't use it as an excuse to say you won because God is in your side, that's just not right. :nope
God just took a huge dump and called it Oakland.
Isn't he basically saying: "these kids suck, but god helped us again!" ???
Ray Allen sums up how I feel about God being brought into the discussion:
My views regarding the stain on human existence that is all religion notwithstanding, he's got the right idea.Quote:
"I've argued this with a lot of people in my life,'' Allen said. "When people say God blessed me with a beautiful jump shot, it really pisses me off. I tell those people, 'Don't undermine the work I've put in every day.' Not some days. Every day. Ask anyone who has been on a team with me who shoots the most. Go back to Seattle and Milwaukee, and ask them. The answer is me -- not because it's a competition but because that's how I prepare."
God has a LOT more important things to do than decide who wins a damn basketball series.
The devil in me says I am so glad Jackson is the Warriors coach.
Mainly because he sucks. We could easily be down 3-1...
I hate that fucker with a passion but he's got a point. Kindof ironic, though, considering he played a character named Jesus, lol. The one thing that gets me about religious athletes or coaches is that whenever they say God helped them, is that they're basically insinuating that their God favors certain groups over others. Doesn't that philosophy go against their faith? Oh well, it's all bullshit, any ways, they just can't see it.
God said in the Ten Commandments,
"You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name." (Exodus 20:7)
