9 pt 4th quarter is disturbing, very disturbing.
Spurs barely answered the bell in the 2nd half.
They protected home court, but I'm worried.
I think everyone is worried because of what happened last year. I will say the Spurs looked very physical for most of the game and they controlled the paint. They have shut Memphis' offense the fuck down. It's gonna hinge on their offense this year. Lapses like this in Memphis won't cut it.

Re: Western Conference Finals, Game 2: Spurs vs. Grizzlies - May 21 @ 8 PM CT
Spurs are lucky to be up 2-0 tbh. They're making a lot of dumb mistakes that they usually don't make. Giving up a ton of offensive rebounds and missing a lot of FT's too. Have been all playoffs. And Pop's rotations are mind-numbing sometimes (looking at you, Bonner). If we make it to the Finals, I fear it might get ugly against Miami. They're significantly better than Memphis.

He went on to say he wasn't implying that TP was injured just something he noticed, could just be the other injuries he already has.

Bonner/Neal combined for 40 minutes(3-10 FG, 10 points) -23. I rest my case.

Re: Western Conference Finals, Game 2: Spurs vs. Grizzlies - May 21 @ 8 PM CT
Getting this win was huge - no matter how it happened. Having a 2-0 lead with 3 days rest is just massive for this team. You would think that pushing hard for a game 3 win is the way to go. We will see how that shakes out. Spurs defense has been damn good, but MEM also missed a lot of free throws. They make those and Spurs were in trouble. Plus, MEM defense stepped up. Spurs need to continue to have at least one 30 point quarter and they have to find a way to rebound. Hopefully Tim in foul trouble was the cause - although they were behind with Tim in.
Memphis again missed quite a few easy shots, even if they were contested. Lets hope the three ball doesn't completely dry up.
Great job on gutting out the win. Tim looked great which is huge. Rest up and prepare to execute like they have for 6.5 quarters so far.

Hopefully the OT games we've had will help us the rest of the way.

Re: Western Conference Finals, Game 2: Spurs vs. Grizzlies - May 21 @ 8 PM CT
Although the second half collapse was ugly, I don't see anything to worry about. The collapse was caused by Tim's 4th foul, Bonner/Neal playing for too long as a result, and the team going away from the system in shell-shock when the Grizz made their run. Grizzlies had their shot at turning this series on its head and failed. I think we'll still one in Memphis.

Bill Simmons @BillSimmons17s
SA crowd was great tonight. My head hurts. Relentlessly loud. They're more hockey crowd than NBA crowd. Old-school fans, raucous atmosphere.
Uhhh.. this might be the first time I've ever heard someone compliment our home crowd. Kudos to the fans who were there tonight. Keep it up.

San Antonio Spurs
With his 4th block of the night Tim Duncan became the first player in NBA history to record 500 blocks in the postseason.

Heard on game time react on WOAI that a bunch of fans were yelling "Simmons you suck!" Wonder if he said this before or after that? :lol Still cool to hear though.

Also, HUGE fucking win, even if we choked a huge lead. You want to talk about having the best of both worlds... appropriate fear and a 2-0 lead. It's not slipping away from us this year. No fucking way.

Is there any way Pop can catch the flu Saturday? And Bonner too.
