No he's not...he always has respect for the way the Spurs run the organization and puts Duncan as the best player this generation. He may have not picked the Spurs to win this series but it's probably because he picked them to win last year but they ended getting back door swept by the thunder right after he put this long spurs appreciation article on Grantland.

Holy shit, it's about time our fans pulled their heads out of their asses and fuckin backed the Spurs. That officiating was some of the WORST I have ever seen. I know that's cliche, but that was so fuckin bad. I can't believe what I saw.

Back to the OP on Simmons...The guy makes it clear he is a Celtics fan to the bone and some of the stuff he writes is truly humorous. That being said, he is HORRIBLE on TV.
