well deserved
And Parker made 2nd Team.
If true, well deserved after the snub for DPotY and non-1st team defense.

:toast to Tim

shocked but he earned it.
Well deserved. Overall, no other big men played better than him.

I'm surprised he got 1st team, happy he did. I figured he would be 2nd team at best. was hoping TP would make 1st team, but everyone on the 1st team earned it.
Hahahahahahaha the old man is still hanging with the best in the game.
He's one of the best in 3 different decades.
Congratulations to The Big Fundamental!

Congrats to TP as well
Amazing!!
Simply the best! Such a joy to have been able to watch this guy's entire career.
Now let's add the hardware that really matters to his trophy case!
Forgot to give TP his due. Congrats Parker! You should have beat Paul too!
Congrats to Timmy! Well deserved. :tu Although I do think that Tony deserved 1st team over Chris Paul. I just don't think Paul had a better overall season than Parker. Tony played at an MVP level for a good amount of the season, while Paul played great I don't thunk he reached potential MVP levels this year...
Amazing!
Parker could have easily made 1st team as well but the ankle injury hurt his chances.
Cant complain about the selections.
TP should've been 1st team.
Tim is the fuckin GOAT!! Living legend.
Congrats Tim, well deserved. I think Tony should have made it in. Bastards.
Tony Parker with the back-2-back All-NBA 2nd Team selections is very impressive as well. He could probably get a third selection next year if Bryant drops off.
Is Duncan the oldest player to ever make the first team?
Congrats to Duncan for the well-deserved 1st team. But let me get this straight, the Lakers are below .500 for over 2/3 of the season and limp into the playoffs, yet they have a guy on the 1st and 3rd team? Huh?
That puts him in the double digit category
Impressive, he deserves it, but amazing Kobe and CP3 are on it, complete jokes. Still upset Duncan didn't win DPOY, the biggest sham in NBA history is that he hasn't won one of those awards.
Based on the quick math I just did,
Duncan ties KAJ for longest years apart between First Teams (16 years)
CP3 is a great player but COME ON!!! Parker had a hell of a season this year, MVP Candidate....should've been in the 1st team over Chris HANDS DOWN
Congrats to Duncan. Well deserved.
Parker too.
:tu
Props to Tim (who is finally listed at the position he plays at) and Tony! Well-deserved, both of them.
:worthy:
A lot of hating here on Chris Paul. He has carried that Clippers team all season, without him they could well be a lottery team. Griffin getting All NBA is much more of a joke.
Paul, Kobe and Parker all had legitimate cases for 1st Team. Anyone surprised it was Parker who got missed out hasn't been paying much attention to how these things work.
After being snubbed in the DPOY and all defense voting (should have been first team), this is a welcomed surprise.
Round of applause from players when Pop announced All-NBA selections. Pop said Duncan especially was "really touched."
https://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN
Parker said hard to tell if Duncan was really "really touched." "Timmy's a good poker player."
https://twitter.com/JMcDonald_SAEN
Damn right.
:worthy:
Duncan carried this team near the end of the regular season when TP was recuperating.
Those 3 30-pt game in March & April helped.
Gasol is not far behind.

Fuk that fagget CP3, overrated piece of shit. Fuk that bastard kobe. How does TP not make first team? That's bullshit.
I really think Parker is better than Chris Paul.
So I just noticed something. How did Marc Gasol win Defensive Player of the Year....and not make the NBA All-Defensive 1st team?
That just tells you how much bullshit is typically attributed to these things. Glad to see Duncan got it though, as hes obviously deserving this year.
This year is feeling like a title year more and more.
-Last time Timmy was 1st team All-NBA (06-07) Championship Year.
-Its an odd year (99,03,05,07)
-We beat Lakers in Playoffs (every time we have, Spurs have gone on to win Championship)
-Things going our way (injuries to other teams superstars)
-Defense playing really well
-Overcoming Adversity: THIS YEAR (GS Series)
PREVIOUS CHAMPIONSHIP YEARS (Memorial Day Miracle, Coming back 13 down Against Mavs game 6 in 03, Robert Horry Shot Game 5 in 05 vs Pistons)
Etc....
So anyways, congratulations Duncan! Well Deserved!
BEST BIG IN GAME STILL HATERS! Case could be made Parker was better than Paul as well....
Oh and screw you ace3g, you cant always be the 1st one to post news :lol
timmy the GOAT
What a beast Duncan has been! Wow!
major props to Timmy. what an icon. and props to Tony, as always, underrated.
Spurs have two top ten players in game by any standard and F the haters who do not still give them a chance to win 6 more if both plus Manu stay relatively healthy
Funny how they made TP a 4th guard this year ...
if Tony didn't go down with injury he would have cracked first team over Paul. he was in serious MVP talks and people were calling him the best pg in the league at the time. oh well. congrats on cracking the 2nd team. no slouch.
Although Tim ABSOLUTELY deserved the first team, I'm still in shock he actually made it. fucking beast
I don't know why, but I'd forgotten that they beat the Lakers back in '95. I guess it's because I forgot they were still a playoff team in the post-Showtime, pre-Shaq/Kobe years. :lol
Or maybe it's because I've blocked as much as possible out of my mind from that season after undergoing severe emotional trauma during the next playoff series. :depressed
Congrats to Timmy -- much deserved.
TP on the 2nd team is right. For those griping about CP3, Tony was 4th in voting at guard. He was actually closer to 5th than 3rd.
Only gripe I have is Dwight Howard, but it was not even close for the 3rd center spot.
:toast
Congrats to both Timmy and Tony. Well deserved. I think if Parker hadn't got hurt he'd had a good chance to be in the first team as well.
:wowNBA
Parker only played 66 games, I'm very surprised they had him on the 2nd team ahead of Harden, tbh..
I'd have Harden on the 1st team, tbh..
How many First Team selections does Timmy have now?
Duncan's All NBA First Team (ANFT) selection was the 10th time he has been given that honor. He is second (jointly with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) only behind Karl Malone and Kobe Bryant (11 times each). And all three with the same or more ANFT selections have/had played more seasons than him at this point of time.
Truly a remarkable achievement.
Parker made the ANST selection for the second time and adds to his solitary ANTT selection.
Wow..... That's one hell of a lineup right there. Congrats to TD for a well deserved spot. And Congrats to TP too, for making the All-NBA team. If not for injuries, he'd have been in the first team. By the way, correct me if I'm wrong..... But this is TP's 3rd All-NBA, right?
Congrats Timmy and Tony! Got to say that I didn't see this one coming. I'm glad the voters noticed Tim's resurgent season!
Should be
First Team:
LeBron James
Kevin Durant
Tim Duncan
James Harden
Chris Paul
Second Team:
Russell Westbrook
Tony Parker
Carmelo Anthony
Marc Gasol
Paul George
Third Team:
Kobe
Faried
Stephen Curry
Brook Lopez
Griffin or Noah or Lee
honorable mention
irving
lillard
aldridge
bosh
deron williams
...too bad nobody in the NBA PR committee would want Kobe on anything less than 1st team.
That`s great news ! Grats to both Parker and Duncan

Howard making it over Brook Lopez is a travesty.
Congrats.
Amazing accomplishment by TD.
As for TP, he has already made the Hall of Fame -- now he's moving toward first ballot.
Awesome news seeing my favorite player all-time getting #10. How fucking amazing do you have to be to get named to the All-NBA first team for 10 seasons?
props to TD but just shows the quality of bigmen in the league IMO
when a 37 year old 60% Tim Duncan is best in the league, you know you have some shit quality bigs :lol
Has anyone ever done that at age 37?
That is just incredible..
Glad his greatness was recognized...:toast congrats td
Timmy deserved to be on the All NBA Defense 1st Team more than this imo, and more votes for DPOY (though I didn't expect he should win it). This is like a makeup, but that's fine. Still a huge honor since these awards aren't just handed to bigs the way they're handed to high scoring SGs with terrible defense.
I think the stats are very clear that he is the best big in the game - for the voters the points, rebounds, blocks, field goal % in limited minutes is quantifiable. With defense it's a lot harder. Some years they look at rebounds, some years they look at blocks. This year they looked at team defense (TD had more rebounds and blocks than MG) - the reason why so many MEM players got on all-defensive teams too.
So weird that they decided to change their thinking now all the sudden. I think Marc Gasol has been great this year, but Timmy has been better defensively imo. It's really showing in this series. The terrible offensive displays the Grizzlies put on when Duncan is in the game, and how everything opens up for them when he's on the bench is a real glaring indicator how massive an impact Duncan makes on the defensive end. Especially against teams with great low post scoring like Memphis where Duncan can impact the game the most.
david west got more love than dirk. not a good year for the german
That's what I'm talking about.
Congrats to both Timmy & Tony!! :hat
And yes... I believe CP3 is overrated, too.
