Uh oh. Manu is saying he feels good physically. That's like the kiss of death.

Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
Great interview with Manu. Feeling the best he has all season. Parker feeling great too. Good stuff.
-
Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
I think Manu will have his game on for the finals. Now way he is going to let down Duncan and TP down knowing it may be their last title run.
-
Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
Someone get Danny a tissue. Anyone else notice he's always has the sniffles in these interviews? :wakeup

Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
Like Manu's comment about remaining part of the game when he retires. I tell you, future Spurs' coach.

Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
I've never understood why Pop cant just be nice when answering reporters questions... It really makes him look bad. I know he doesn't care but it doesn't help the Spurs popularity either.

Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
Pop's interview is hilarious :lol

Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
what was that last question asked for Pop?

Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
I always love how scared the reporters are of Pop. And the awkward silences between every question.
-
Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
Pop's interview bullshit is way past old.
He should follow Manu's example and try to find a decent, respectful answer that tries to fit the question, rather than ridiculing the questioner.

He doesn't care about that, either.
Pop doesn't like doing press, but he's forced to do it by the NBA. He figures that the way to make it the shortest is to make it as unpleasant for the media as it is for him.

Pop isn't gonna change, he's Gregg Charles Popovich dammit!

Moronic. Pop has a varied reaction to questions he receives from the media. There have been tons of times where he's given just the kind of answer you imply is beyond him. :td

Yes. Even Pop was giddy. :lol

Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
Those complaining about Pop's interview - just don't watch it.
-
Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
pop doesn't like stupid and obvious questions. he doesn't like smartass questions, too. but will tell the questioner that it's a good question if it was one.

that would be generic and boring.
i like pop better when he keeps true to his own personality. gives us a flavor and an identity that is unique. better than the normal bland nice answers.

almost 24k posts and still GNSF, explains a lot.
Pop is a great interview if a) it is on his terms and not forced and/or b) the reporter puts some thought into the question and asks something pertinent. Otherwise, ridicule is in order and expected.

Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
Only legitimate question for Pop was about Grant Hill retirement.
I mean really :rolleyes
-
Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
Hey Pop! Did you watch the game last night?:lol
-
Re: 6.2 Practice: TP and Pop
The audible " awwww" of disappointment after the way pop answers the last question was funny

Yeah he is like the Bill Parcells and Bobby Knights of the coaching world. They hate the media and the media hates them..

1. I doubt Pop gives a crap that you or the media thinks it's old.
2. Follow Manu's example? Pop's the coach, if anything Manu should follow his example.
3. If you think it's "bullshit" you are mistaken, this is how Pop is, he's not putting on a show or a charade.
4. I would also ridicule a reporter who asked me if I was going to be watching game 7, which is a deciding game of who you will play in the Finals. Mike Monroe should know better than that.

+1
I'm with Pop on this one. That question is almost an insult, obviously unintended but still. The reporter could have come up with 1000 other questions regarding the finals other than "did you watch?".
