Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Which player deserves to be blamed for tonight's game 7 loss to the Heat? Which player robbed Duncan of his fifth championship ring?
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Duncan missing his 5 footer to tie to the game.
Manu turnover when we needed a quick 3.
Truthfully, nobody is really to blame. They all did their best.
Green was sloppy and we could have used Diaw more, but Pop used his 5 best players in the heat of the moment. Can't argue with that.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Nobody. The Heat just had that bit extra tonight.

Popovich, Parker, Green and Neal..
If anybody blames Duncan or Leonard for anything, they should be murdered immediately..

Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
It's Manu's fault b/c w/o him we don't even play tonight. Obviously the team put everything into game 6 and Manu screwed that up. Tonight Tony was a shell, and while solid Timmy wasn't as awesome as he was then .
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Manu again with costly turnovers.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?

Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Manu's 8 turnovers will live in infamy: they cost us a title.

Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
I'm voting Tiago Splitter for this, just because.
Fuck that guy.

Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Miami supporting cast showed up tonight (Chalmers and Battier) and we could not cool their hot shooting.
Spurs had their chances!!!
So hard to get back to this position!!!!!
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Pop for Game 6. Manu is a close second.

Yeah I will... Tim played like a warrior you want him to be flawless. Tony sucked so did Manu and the bench blew ass..
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Not gonna play this game... All of our guys went down swinging... love them all... OP can go fuck himself.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Green by far
getting trapped inside double teams
turnovers
and generally useless
then again pop took him out after he made his first 3!!?? then uses him too much afterwards?!!?!
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
tony parker. he didn't bring it at all. if you don't have anything at least have the decency to gtfo of the game.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
The Heat played just little better.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Idiots blaming Manu's 18 points for tonight's loss? Are you serious?
No single player is to blame. Danny Green and Tony Parker had awful games, but it is what it is.

Duncan was by no means flawless tonight tbh
Not asking for that. Asking for dunks or more aggression. He lacked his usual poise.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
why in Sam Fuck is Parker not an option
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Parker. He was responsible today. Awful defense and no show on offense
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
parker. we know manu is done....
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Manu kept us close for a lot of the game. Tony and Danny.

manu with green close second
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Parker was spent. He had nothing physically. Green and of course, Manu making his costly turnovers at ...just....the ....wrong....time. If there ever is a right time but those last two, three really, were just horrendous. No one was moving around. They just watched whoever had the ball. Zero ball movement.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
I voted someone else. Heat were just skyrocketing in confidence. Everyone stepped up and hit their shots. LBJ had a Jordan performance. Too much to overcome for the Spurs. They went out like champs. Not enough. I'm happy for Manu that he gets to walk out with a decent game before he retires; the time is NOW. Khawi Leonard and TD deserved a ring. Game 6 will haunt us Spurs fans for the rest of our life.

SportsNation was trying to acclaim it to be the best block of all time.
:lmao
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Pop for choosing Neal over Diaw but if you have to pick a player it has to be Parker, he's suppossed to be the best player on the team and his was MIA. Injury or no injury.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
COACH SPO FOR NOT PULLING WADE AND JAMES WHEN THEY WERE UP 5 WITH 20 SECONDS LEFT!!!!!
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Look. Parker was playing injured, but even besides that Spurs were a better basketball team, but played against younger stars in Lebron and Wade. Had Manu and Duncan been 5 years younger, this wouldn't have even been a game...but age has really finally caught up with the Spurs. The sad thing is that the media will gloat and glorify Lebron when it took every ounce of in his prime Lebron to beat an end of career Duncan.

st shitting on manu as usual. hope you idiots realize without him, this game would have ended sooner.

Blame Pop->Manu->Green in that order...
Thank you Parker/Duncan/Leonard for a great season.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Parker, You guys hate on Manu all you want but he showed up tonight, Parker didn't and he is already thinking about playing for a different city. With out Manu tonight Spurs get blown out but keep hating.
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
why is parker not on the list? manu had 18 points but imagine if he had a better (better, not great, even being a decent player) series, spurs would have gotten the title.
regarding pop, he made mistakes but coaching can take a team only up to a certain point, the players still are the ones playing and will decide the game.

Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
The French bundle of sticks is most to blame, followed by Manu.
I don't want to hear shit about Danny Green. He was a role player who became a marked man over night. Not his fault.

True. This Spurs series loss was a TEAM effort all the way to the coach. Ginobili will shoulder plenty of blame for sure but he shouldn't have been put in that position to do so much in the first place. Parker just never showed up for some reason. He's supposed to be SA's best player. Whether it was injury related or not he didn't seem to play with any urgency tonight. Green was clearly not ready for that game and got worse as it went on. Why he was still in the game I don't know. Popovich seemed to have too much faith in the guy. Where the hell was Diaw?
-
Re: Who was primarily responsible for tonight's loss?
Tony Parker tbh, MVP my ass.

Battier, tbh... You expect Lebron to play great... all our Spurs fought with all they had... Battier coming out of nowhere with 5 3s just broke our backs...

You didn't add Parker there. He has 10 pts and 4 assists. I want to be able to pick it from the options.
