Should we go after KG?
Old article from Bleacher Report:

Quote:
The Spurs will consider everything and everyone this summer when free agency begins. But one option tossed out this weekend by one in the Spurs organization is not just another name. Kevin Garnett.
It may not be the fix in the long term, but for the next year or two, it could propel the Spurs into favorites. KG has a very steady midrange game and proved pivotal for the Celtics this offseason, averaging like 18 and 15 during the playoffs. If he could get into the right role, I think this would be a big move for San Antonio, especially considering this trade is possible now that Doc is in Los Angelos.
I'm not the one to say "TRADE FOR DIS GUY", but I really think this move could work. Throw Splitter in the trade and add maybe a Gary Neal and de Colo/Mills. Seems like a solid trade to me.
Thoughts?

Re: Should we go after KG?
Yes. Him and Timmy can mend the fence and win a championship in the process. Allows us to keep Splitter also, essentially swapping Blair for KG.
I say this under the assumption KG can still guard some on the perimeter despite his advanced age.
Good to hear that Spurs will consider all options. If we don't get a facelift at least inject a heavy dose of botox!

Re: Should we go after KG?
By the way, this article is a year old so the quotes you are posting mean nothing and make you sound like a douche that didn't even read the article.

How is it misleading...? It's a question....

Re: Should we go after KG?
Not going to happen. Everyone but you seems to know that Duncan and KG do not get along.

Who said I didn't know that? I forgot these guys are little kids. Teammates have always gotten along in this league no problem...:bang
Listen, it's just an idea.

True, it is just an idea. I apologize if I came off rather harsh. But I guess what I'm looking to get to is that, I'd rather not romanticize about things that are highly unrealistic. Although, I'd be extremely happy if this did occur, but it is highly, highly unlikely.

Re: Should we go after KG?
I'm having déjà vu. I think we had like 6 KG threads last offseason. My take, theoretically great, not gna happen.
-
Re: Should we go after KG?
They'd have to amnesty him I think..
And Duncan hates KG so I doubt it..
-
Re: Should we go after KG?
Should have done the Splitter + Jackson trade earlier in the season tbh

Re: Should we go after KG?
kg and ducan would not have to paly lots of minutes if both were on same team
both coudl do 25 minutes each
-
Re: Should we go after KG?
Never ever, we only should go after KG with a flame thrower and talk trash to him/her...
-
Re: Should we go after KG?
Timmy dislikes KG. As does most of the league. Not going to happen.
-
Re: Should we go after KG?
How many times have we been through this? Fuck KG.
-
Re: Should we go after KG?
I'd rather Duncan not win another ring than win it with that POS..
-
Re: Should we go after KG?
I know its just a question so ill just have fun with it. Duncan dislikes KG, kg is a douche, BUT....... even at his age this guy has everything the spurs need to bring in no.5. Fearless competitor, self motivated and has the heart of a lion. But not gonna happen

Re: Should we go after KG?
IF Timmy approves it I'm all for swapping Splitter for KG! All power to Timmy!
