Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas

Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
lol dude is fucking garbage man. I feel bad for Houston clearing all this space for his bitch ass. Only to go to another team.

Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
If only we could put tim duncans brain in his body.

Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
While he's in Texas he can make 1 more stop... IMO Buford should leave Dwight's agent a short voicemail just saying "if Dwight cares about winning, call me back." Click

BK only cares about spreading his seed far and wide.
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
DH will be bankrupt the second he gets out of the league IMO. Imagine how much child support those 8 mommas are gonna demand.

Teams are going to Los Angeles to meet him, not the other way around.
I don't know why superstars never consider the Spurs. They are perennial winners with a coach and management that knows how to build a team that maximizes everyone's potential. They turned long shots like Parker into Ginobili into all stars, high talent players like Robinson and Duncan into superstars, and scrubs like Green and Neal into legitimate NBA players. They did all this while reaching the playoffs every year, winning the championship, or making a deep run in the playoffs. I guess $$$ and attention is still the number 1 priority.

Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Good ruin Houston's burgeoning chances at becoming lethal.
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
I'm really hoping he re-signs with the Lakers, tbh.
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Yeah I agree DH with the Rockets is pretty scary tbh.
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Dwight Howard in Houston would be terrible for the Spurs. He would very likely flourish there. They have good passers, great shooters and would bascially be a way more talented version of Orlando.
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Houston seems really perfect for him unfortunately... A young star in Harden and a bunch of 3 point shooters....yeah lets hope he stays in LA
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
I'd never want to live in Houston, but it'd be a good fit for him.

It's as simple as saying, no superstars want to live in S.A...every player you mentioned was drafted by the spurs, except green. Green may as well have been though, as no one else wanted him. No offense to anyone living in S.A..I'd love to live there, but I'm not an nba star.

Scary for the Rockets.. Howard is a joke this year should have proved that to everyone. Rockets have no PG and Harden will be like another Kobe for Howard jacking up shit..

Leonard on Harden
Tony destroys Lin
Tim clowns Howard again..
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
They would be talented but I still don't fear Howard in a 7 game series. He's just too much of a mental midget.
:lol blaming fans for you leaving

Broussard said he's leaning toward Dallas not Houston

They should be able to move him. His contract is close to market value for a starting center. Dallas could use him and he might be interesting of they miss out on Howard.
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Fuck that. We should make a play for him at that point.
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Asik should be incredibly easy to move. He not only performed well, but I'd say he exceeded expectations.

Even on a better team, I'd still lay even odds that he goes all emo and implodes. Dude's head just isn't right.

I wouldn't argue with the last part too much at all. But people, especially fans are fickle. They very easily forget how good players can be when they have a couple injuries and are in a bad spot.
-
Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Heard on ticket 760 that hoopsworld and fxsw reported Howard could be interested in Spurs

No, you're definitely right about that -- for example, with all the injuries he'd had, I'd forgotten how good Bogut could be -- and he still wasn't even 100%. Wade is another guy who can make you forget he's Dwyane Wade with his lackluster play, then make you remember again in a hurry.
So yeah, if I were Houston, I wouldn't hesitate to gamble on him, because Houston is tired of being sorta good every year and wants to contend. A high risk, high reward guy who you know has been a Top 5 player in the past is the right move. But man, I'd be scared as hell of betting my franchise on a guy with that head on his shoulders.

Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Dwight butthurt we swept his ass. Even joining our rivals, he will still lose.

You realize this guy on top of his horrible attitude also has a bad back right? You think he is going to fit in with James Harden of all people?? Not too many low posts plays are getting called in Houston with Harden bringing the ball up and chucking for his scoring average.. Down the stretch especially because Howard can't make a FT if his life were on the line..

His best days are clearly behind him IMO.. He now has a back injury that may linger as he gets closer to 30 and he showed his true colors under pressure.. Howard wants to have fun and make his millions.. Winning is not very important to him..

Dude doesn't have any problems that aren't fixable. Unless he's got some lingering physical issue that's turned him into Amare, he's definitely worth a max contract.

People seem to have lowered their standards on what a max deal buys you. To me I want that to buy me a franchise player I can build a championship team around..
That isn't Howard..

So by that standard, David Robinson isn't a max player.

Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
Dallas makes no sense, they have Dirk and ? And Dirk is past his prime. Harden is one man show, in the era of super teams that's not enough. If he joins the Spurs, they are gonna be favorites for the next two seasons, and after that, the core of Howard, Parker and Leonard is solid, as long as Pop stays around.

I think Pop would stick around for another 5 years if DH12 came to the Spurs.

Well he's not going to Dallas. Mark my words. You guys will have to revert to over paying free agents and being another mediocre team while Dirk gets a year older.

David is a perennial choker who couldn't do shit until Duncan came to carry him. Just another regular season tryhard who wilted like a bitch in the playoffs every fucking year. My biggest memory of him was him getting his shit pushed in by Hakeem :lmao

Robinson was a former league MVP and a scoring champion. When you compare the skill sets between Howard and David it's a joke. Howard is a good defender and a great rebounder but his offensive game is completely mediocre. He has no post game, no jump shot, and can't make FT's. You can't go to him down the stretch and depend on his offense. On top of that does Howard have any intangibles as a leader or a team-mate? No he is a selfish spoiled brat. That is not a franchise player to me. That is not someone I can build a title team around. The idea that he wants to go to Dallas so it will be his team :lol

Every single post of yours on the Spurs is negative bro. BTW Howard is not better than Robinson was in his prime, if you think so then see what he does on your team if you guys get him.

Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
The Spurs should make a serious play at Howard, RC go to LA feel him out see if he is serious. If he wants a ring, a great coach a smaller market and to be somewhat insulated from all the negative press he would be exposed to on most teams then the Spurs are the obvious choice. If he is leaving the Lakers then Spurs>Rockets>Mavs. Chance at a championship? the Spurs just pushed (and should have beat) the Heat this year, so the Spurs would surround him with the most talent. Problems with the Coach in LA, Pop is regarded as the best coach in the NBA (except in the ST forum). The Spurs culture naturally insulates it's players from harsh media scrutiny. Parkers high profile divorce and TD's upcoming divorce rarely makes waves on ESPN or media outlets. The Spurs are all about basketball. They have all the taxes brakes that Houston and Dallas can offer as well. If not the Lakers then the Spurs would/should be the obvious choice. Where there is no pressure to be 'the man' immediately but the opportunity to become the man in a few years is possible. If he says yes then bye bye Manu, if he is just playing around then make the same push for David West.

Re: Report: Dwight Howard unlikely to sign with Lakers, leaning Houston, Dallas
There is no way Howard returns to the Lakers and let me tell you why. Laker fans cry and say itsbecause of Jim Buss and D'Antoni...but it isnt. Its because of Kobe. Howard doesnt like Kobe....hell....no players like Kobe. He is an egomaniac that alienates himself from his teammates. But bring that up to Laker fans and they cry about it and think their idol does no wrong. When Kobe said he wants to play another 2-3 years...Howard is saying...I'm Out!

I didn't go there, you did. Dwight Howard took Orlando to the finals. The potential for building a championship team around him is there. Yeah, he's a whiny little primadona. He's also, when healthy, the most dominant big in the league. You can build a team around a guy who gives you 20 and 12 every single game if you do it right. Nobody outside of Kobeland thought the Lakers would be a good landing spot for him. Josh Smith is going to get a max deal. I'd rather have one Dwight Howard on my team than two Josh Smiths.

If you add to that the Spurs have the best shooting coach in the league and what it would mean to Howard if he could shoot 65% from the free throw line. It would end the Hack-a-Dwight to a large degree and potentially extend his career. Is there any doubt that Howard will sustain more shoulder injuries when teams' preferred defense is to foul ridiculously hard across the arms as he goes up? If he could check his ego (HUGE IF) and actually learn some post moves from Tim he could become the player he thinks he is.
