I've noticed that most of the Popsuckers, Manu fan boys, and people with the "status quo, lets stay pat, no changes needed" attitude are the people that are long-tenured on this website. Tbh, the league is pretty weak right now. It's completely plausible that the Spurs could make it back to the Finals especially now with the Lakers on their hind legs, and the Thunder basically dissipating due to the Harden deal. OKC won't be "easy", but I don't think they will be the insane obstacle that they were for us back in 2012, when, we almost beat them anyway despite a meltdown.

Houston might be a big threat if they get Howard, Golden State has shown to be tough, and Denver might make some noise, but those teams aren't substantially better than we are to where they are unbeatable. Grizzlies were a fluke that won't make it anywhere again especially now that they fired their coach.

Two seasons ago, we got to the WCF and got backdoor swept, that never happens. The year after, we lose in the Finals in 7 games. The next year? Hopefully we do what it takes to win our first even-year championship in the first year of Adam Silver.

Everyone's been saying that for a long time already, and where were we in 2013? What is wrong with playing with our own players? We are Spurs fans and we like Spurs players and the Spurs coach. Spurs fans are pretty dumb in general. SA has NEVER made it to back-to-back Finals. Don't be surprised if one of our players goes down with an injury next year resulting in an early exit.
