If he's healthy and available at a reasonable price, I'd love him as the backup SF. Haven't really much watched him play but if he has some playmaking skills like Manu, the Spurs should consider him.

Can Delfino play defense? Someone refresh my memory.
Guys, Delfino is a fart in a can, he is not a slasher, does not have jumpers, not a good passer, only had a 3 point streak last year, is fucking slow and broken, he is no Jarret Jack that guy is 30 but peaking, delfino instead is falling into obscurity.
Adding him to the Spurs would be nothing, even Neal is better, there is no need to add broken pieces to this team, we could add some big shot, but if not we are fine
I'd rather have Aaron Brooks, he'd be a great backup to Tony Parker. He can create his own shot, plays well with the pick & roll, has good court vision, and is ridiculously quick, oh and he's freakin clutch too! The only problem with Brooks is his attitude, and his inconsistency. Brooks always has seemed to play up or down to his opponents' level, which means you'll get some crappy games from crappy opponents, and some amazing games from very tough opponents. I watched his entire college career, I really think he could be a good fit in the Spurs.
Anderson played really well for us last fall in emergency duty when Kawhi went down and Jack started.
10 games - 9.4 minutes per game. .440 FG% .455 3G% .778 FT% 3.4 pts 1.4 rb
He knows the system, he'll be cheap, and I'm guessing, happy to back up Kawhi for 10 minutes a game.
If you want to go after some big fish, you'll need some bargains to fill out your roster.
if only manu and him could dbz fuse.
I think TP needs a reliable running mate @ SG and Leonard needs a good backup @ SF. Green was great until they guarded him If you limit his 3 pt shot, he's worthless. Manu was, well....he had a Steve Kerr "moment" in game 5 but I'm not sure he has control of his abilities and body anymore. Someone needs to save him from himself and play him tactically and NOT running the offense. He struggled against everyone, not just the cHeat.
C -Tiago Splitter, Baynes
PF - Duncan, Diaw, Bonner
SF - Leonard,
SG - Green, Manu, Neal
PG - Parker, Joseph, DeColo, Mills
I don't expect Blair or McGrady to return. Joseph, DeColo and Mills are not the answer at backup PG. 2 of those guys need to be reassigned to Toros, traded or waived.
yep, he's definitely an option
Duncan's minutes need to be cut down this season. Even more so than last. We need another big to relieve him. That's why I think we should be doing whatever we can to trade for Thomas Robinson.
good pickup if we can get him for the right price
For some reason, I hadn't really thought of him as an option, despite the fact that I knew the Rockets would inevitably waive him and the fact that it all adds up, for all the obvious reasons.
Thinking about it, they'd probably actually prefer him to Casspi (and they definitely should). Better shooter and can actually pass/dribble somewhat. Also, since they're more than likely going to go with a backup PG who's shown nothing in the way of scoring or play making, it would make sense to have someone who can provide an modicum of those things at backup SF.
Defensively, he's not the ideal secondary defender to throw at the likes of James and Durant. But players who are and are high percentage 3-point shooters are hard to find, especially for the room exception, which is the most they'll probably be willing to spend on the backup SF and what he'll probably be able to command. Besides, Diaw has shown he can do a passable job on the former and Green, in theory, might be able to on the latter.

Bresnahan: Lakers interested in Carlos Delfino, small forward w/ range. They had, um, not a lot of range last season. Will he sign for mini mid-level? Twitter @Mike_Bresnahan
I like him. Plays fierce come clutch times, good decision making. I would see him as an upgrade over green rather than neal.
Let's nab him! Then trade for Scola. Then sign Prigioni too
