-$5-7 million per season would be fine and well deserved.
-$8-10 million would be a bit greedy on Manu's part but I'd rather pay him that than try to find a replacement.
-$10 million plus and I'd be mad.
This :toast

Re: Manu is back per his twitter
Manu is great for 1 in 3 games. That seems to be all he has. So, about 1/3 of 14 million. Let's say 5 million a year. NBA salaries are bloated by default, so I'm figuring around 7-8 Million. Any more than that, and I would say bad move. Any less...pretty good deal.

Re: Manu is back per his twitter
For sentimental reasons, I'm glad Manu is sticking around but tbh, he sucks ass now. I really hope he took $5m or less.
-
Re: Manu is back per his twitter
To me, a fair contract for Manu would be $6M per year.

Also, if it is indeed $10m, isn't that below his cap hold, and does that mean the Spurs renounced him to go under the cap? dammit, where's
Chinook? :lol
The Spurs have his Bird Rights, to they can just re-sign him. And they don't have to go under the cap, since Bonner keeps them over. Even if they amnesty him (and I'm just saying they probably won't under this scenario), they can stay over if they want to with their other free agent holds, including Horry still.

Manu and Tim are happy they are not all-stars anymore :lol

Yeah I agree. If he took anything north of that, even something like $6.1M, I'd be upset.

You should care about the amount because it has potentially significant impact on their overall flexibility this summer (and next?). His last contract was the "fill in the blank" one and he repaid the Spurs handsomely. This time around, he needs to get Ray Allen dollars and nothing more.

Obviously, Spurs fans should hope he decided to take as small a paycheck as possible so that other pieces could be added .... but since he's obviously not going to ask more than $10 million per season, I can't be mad at the number he selected.
Agree

Re: Manu is back per his twitter
only shot at ak47 is convincing him to take MLE

back to back championships baby here we come!!!!
go out in style :flag:

Re: Manu is back per his twitter
$4.8m would be nice and keeping him getting more than all but TP/TD and now Tiago.
-
Re: Manu is back per his twitter
Weird how many are cool with Manu getting overpaid again.
im glad he's returning but like Bruno said, hopefully 6 million is tops, if this team wants to win.
-
Re: Manu is back per his twitter
At this point it doesnt matter what his salary is. Spurs will only have the MLE to work with

Re: Manu is back per his twitter
At this point, Bonner's contract, how tradeable is it, or if the Spurs amnesty him are a bigger pivot as far as what the Spurs want to do...
