This would be an ideal situation. Not sure on the likeliness of it, though.

Do you seriously think they can do anything but give him a blank check?

Re: Manu is back per his twitter
Welcome back Manu. Glad we get to see these guys together for a couple more years.

Re: Manu is back per his twitter

2. sign one of Splitter/Oden/Gortat!
3. sign AK47!
two down baby!...

Re: Manu is back per his twitter
Houston considering to sign Manu was it because of Howard's request to add another all-star?
-
Re: Manu is back per his twitter
Awesome news! I'm so happy! Big three together! Go Spurs Go!

Manu is not an all-star anymore. Quit trolling.

Re: Manu is back per his twitter
Welp, there goes the hopes of signing a decent player. They'll use the MLE for a role player but that's it. The starting lineup is set now as well as the sixth man. If you know ANYTHING about the mind of a competitor they will not want to come off the bench. PERIOD. Champoinship or not.
-
Re: Manu is back per his twitter
No details leaked so that still gives me a sliver of hope that Ginobili agreed to take whatever money that is left after the Spurs pursue their FA. That means at minimum he would make the under the cap MLE.
-
Re: Manu is back per his twitter
Excelent News, I hope Manu keeps playing at a great level. We will miss him when he retires. Happy two more years inside a basketball court

They are bad, I swear its like some of these posters didn't watch the finals. I would love manu to come back after we grabbed a FA that could really help us and he can have the money that's left. But saying keep manu at a very reduced contract, its like you are telling Jordan in his prime to these people to take a hike, I don't get it

So Manu is not a competitor? Is that what you're saying? :lol Sounds like you don't know ANYTHING about a competitor - at least ones who truly want what's best for their team..

Would you willingly agree to such a disadvantageous deal with your employer? Sure boss, pay me less so you can pay my coworkers more, for the good of the company.
This will be the man's last professional contract. He has to go for the $$$. I expect $10M per.

SFGNSF.
If you can't figure that out then you really are a SFGNSF.

Yes. Cause he's always been a part of this team. Don't tell me realistically that you think AK47 just turned down 11m per season to come to SA to be the 2ND player off the bench? Or Monta Ellis? Al Jeff? Anyone? yea right..
2nd player off the bench...7th player in the rotation..=wishful thinking.

You do know Duncan and Parker did the same exact thing?

If it's 10M and 19M total for the two worst players in the POs it's gonna be hard to swallow tbh.

Dude, I've been a Spur fan since they drafted #50 in 1987. I've forgotten more about this team than probably you have ever known. And I've been here thru the Larry Brown, and the Shark rotten years. Just calling a spade a spade here.
