so that's all you've seen of the guy? in that case i can understand..

Consider that we'd sign Neal and acquire Ellis. That's 9 guards. But of course players would have to go to Milwaukee, and we'd probably send at least two (my guess would be Mills and DeColo). We still then have 7 guards...all of them deserving of minutes.
Parker
Joseph
Ginobili
Green
Belinelli
Ellis
Neal
Seriously, who are you going to bench there? And you can steal a few minutes at the 3, but Leonard is going to soak up the lions share of those minutes anyways.
I guess you could send out Joseph also in that trade. But does Milwaukee want to acquire their whole guard rotation as a transplant from San Antonio? And does San Antonio have enough PG's at that juncture? Besides, Bonner probably has to move in that trade to make the salaries come close, and that's 3-4 players leaving San Antonio to Milwaukee's one. Do they want all that garbage from us?
I was thinking we'd re-sign Neal only to switch back and trade him along with others for Ellis, if the Bucks re-sign him. I guess it would be too convoluted.

Make this happen, RC.
Completely unlikely unless you move half of that depth.

Re: Looks like Gary Neal will NOT be back.
Either this is a prelude to a trade, or I'm very confused as to our strategy here

What do you mean? A sign and trade Neal/Ellis + Bonner & DeColo could get it done. The issue is willingness on the Bucks part. I was being a tiny bit sarcastic as well.

Ellis? As in Monta? While we are at it, why don't we get Iggy to backup at SF? Perhaps Millsap to back up PF? Naw, let's just get send Bonner and Neal to OKC for Durant. lmao.
By this chart, your proposing that the Spurs trade away Mills, Nando, Bonner, and Pendergraph (who can't be traded any time soon) for Monta Ellis and Moute? That is not going to happen, lol.

Yeah . . . I know. Did you read the comments above this? Do I have to get out the blue ink?

I like the way you think.

Exactly. I don't ever want to see him try to run the point. Unfortuneatlly, Pop is hard headed.

Mbah a Moute just went to Sac, so he's not a target.

Truth.
Woj is basically the one guy in the game that truly has connections running everywhere. Consider that when he made a mistake at the draft and fumbled some of the specifics on a trade, EVERY sports caster and commentator also happened to have had a slight "miscommunication with their sources." Yea, uh huh, sure... I'm sure it's not that you're just pirating all of your information off of Woj's twitter feed. Woj knoweth all afterall. Or at least more than anyone else by a fair margin.

It doesn't take much to beat Neal defensively. Be able to guard players without shoes and stay out of no man's land.

He's recovering from foot surgery, which has to be at least part of the reason why. He's not a big piece of the future here anyway, so would rather give other guys the burn than have Patty steal shots.

Lol yeah, plus the fact that Mbah a Moute already got traded away. I like him in Sacramento though, they need SOMEONE to play defense and not shoot.

Pop had so many nightmares about losing to small ball that he decided he would one-up the Heat and go with ultra small ball.

Lets be honest Pop way outthinks himself at times and defies logic! I love Pop but at times I scratch my damn head.
