How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
If you go back to his series against the Thunder, he was heartbroken by his performance. So were most Spurs fans. He had a great playoffs this year with the exception of when it mattered most (games six and seven). What would you grade his playoff performance?

I'd give him an A based on his defense against the Splash Brothers and the record he set in the Finals. In games 6 and 7 they decided to focus on him due to his success.

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
Danny did a great job. The characterizations of him as a playoff choker were thoroughly debunked.

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
A-. 30 3s in the Finals gets you an A, 33+ gets you an A+.
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
a better poll wouldve been what do you grade Ginobilis playoffs for 2013.
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
I'd give him an A even though he fell in an offensive slump in the final two games of the finals. Young player that is still striving to improve his game. If he gets his jump shot and ball handling skills down, I suspect he'll be here a long, long time.

..... Danny Green did everything except dribble drive dunk and draw the foul. im not sure what else you guys werr expecting out of a role player that THOROUGHLY exceeded his expectations.
Danny Green is quite possibly the perfect, prototypical 3&D role player.
A+

A+
1-19

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
B but thats only because of the last two games, before that he was at an A.
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
A+
Danny doesn't play as well as he did we would have been beat in SA
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
A
He still has lots of limitations, but he grew 10fold in this playoffs. Let's hope he keeps it up and he can be a solid backup SG behind Marco
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
If he had a decent game 7, def an a+
But I have to give him an a, I'd be stoked if he can repeat the same performance next year

Yep, even though the year before, he played extremely well for 2 series then was bad vs the thunder, people were still calling him a choker. All those discussions are now all gone after that playoff performance

I wish, but you still have people talking about those last two games, as if he were getting the same looks in those games and just missed them. He forced the Heat to alter their defensive game plan. What other role player has done that?
Anyway, some posters feel that only the game the Spurs lose matter, so they still think Green choked in the clutch.

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
he easily gets an A for his consistent defensive efforts (most notably in the warriors and heat series)
breaking a finals record for 3pters also helps
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
Dude forced teams mainly the heat to finally pay attention to him.he went from a role player to bonafide starter for the spurs .give him an A
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
I give Danny a solid B. I would have given him an A if he could drive and finish in the paint more consistently. He did very well in the playoffs and I expect him to be working on the mentioned flaws this off-season.

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
The only mistakes he made were leaving Curry open too much in games 1-3 in the GSW series, then he missed 2 (of only 3) wide wide WIIIIIIDE open shots in the 4th Q in game 6 of the finals. He hits either one of those? Championship. So many chances, we had...but I digress.
So yeah, he had an amazing playoffs overall.

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
exceeding expectations = A+++

Curry was 3-19 with Green guarding him during the first three games of that series.

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
NO WAY and A. Finals seems to be a little too much for him. But, I will give him a B - B+. If he hit a couple more 3s in the finals, we win this thing ...
But if he can continue to improve in other areas during the off-season (find other ways to score), I think he will be a great contributor to this team in years to come.

Really? Where'd you see that?
Must have been 3 huge shots, I recall Danny being extremely sloppy with Curry first 3 games.
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
A. Dude set the NBA FINALS RECORD for 3s.
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
Definitely an A. As heartbreaking as this year was for me as a Spurs fan, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green made serious leaps forward under major pressure at the most important levels of NBA competition.

It was showed several times during Game 3, and a lot in the days after that.
Most of that may have been him rotating on Curry late in Game 1. But really, it was Joseph, Parker and even Leonard getting burned in that first game. Green wasn't very good defensively until Game 2, but he didn't get much time on Steph. In Game 3, Green actually did a great job on Curry. You could see how frustrated Steph was getting.

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
Its an A, we are talking about Green, not Jordan.
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
A+ easily.
I knew he would calm down in games 6 and 7. I had no problem with that. He earned his 'A' in games 1 through 5 alone.
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
Based on my expectations, gotta give him a 10 (A+).
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
He didn't just set the finals on fire with his record breaking 3 point shooting. His defense was fucken great. With added confidence he'll be a heck of a two way player this coming season. Leonard + Green = Best young two way SG SF combo in the NBA
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
A+. Dude was a fucking beast. Would have lost in 4 or five without him.
-
Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
2 people actually gave him a "C?" SMH
I give him an "A." Like others have stated, he made the Heat adjust to him. Now all he needs to do is work on his ballhandling and his driving to the basket/finishing.

I don't understand why the Spurs didn't take more advantage of the extra spacing his 3pt shooting was creating. If Green's man isn't willing to leave him force his defender into situations where he's forced to help. Again that's why it's important to be able to make adjustments.

Re: How would you rate Danny Green's playoff for 2013?
Danny Green did not go off in game six and seven because Miami kept close to him. That should have opened the lane more, and Manu should have attacked the rim. Instead he kept trying to pass with Miami hovering over the passing lanes. Manu tried to be the team player when he was called on to be the leader, and ended up being the goat.
Seems like there is a life lesson in there somewhere.
