I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
The FO has screwed him over more than his own wife! Thanks Pop, RC, and Peter Holt for refusing to put all star talent around the greatest PF in history. Can't wait to see if Golden State or Houston knocks us out in the second round next year!
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
What the heck were you expecting? It's not like any of these teams passed us this offseason.
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
T-Vag with a weaker PO run than Bonner gets 9M. Sad for Timmy.
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
The Spurs are a bad matchup for Dwight Howard. Duncan shouldn't be crying tears.
:lol Golden State

Not getting worse would have been nice but with Gino's decline and no meaningful addition we are indeed getting worse.
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
The overall competition is a bad thing. Even if the spurs beat them consider the energy they'll expend having to get past these teams. They are too old and will be burned out by the next round. The finals were the perfect indication of that
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
Cliff diving after three days of free agency, when spurs typically aren't overly active at the onset. Offseason crown ftw.
Goddamn. Spurs fan has gone unhinged.

Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
Holy fucking shit. How do some of you make it through the season like this?
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
Duncan should get down on his knees every night and give thanks.
For ping pong balls and for Amy thinking John Gabriel was creepy and for the Spurs' FO.

Spurs get a single rebound (not taking TD out) in game 6, and this kind of posts doesn't exist.
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
Post count = 2. Everyone welcome the first of many of The Great Yachts trolls.

Spurs get a single rebound, win the title, and still won't repeat as champs like every year they've won FOR THIS VERY REASON!

What about Kawhi / Splitter / Green / Cojo all improving? Marco will be a solid addition as well, albeit not to the degree most people on this board were hoping. On the Heat's side, Allen and Battier will be getting older as well. My biggest worry is that Duncan pulls a Steve Nash and turns old overnight.

Ditto to you my brother. I've been saying the same thing over a month now and people on ST want my head chopped off.

Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
Um...
There are other areas for improvement. Vet. min., what's left of the MLE/room exception, buyouts we can get on the cheap come February/March...I'm looking at trades.
UNTOUCHABLES: Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Splitter (hard to sign bigs his caliber, even if soft), Leonard, Green, Belinelli, Diaw (valuable playoff experience), Thomas (no trade value at all)
TRADEABLES: Bonner, De Colo, Joseph, Mills (little to no value), Neal
PATFO wanted Neal because of his playoff experience but the price has gone way up, as reports said. We can S&T him with Bonner and a pick (hopefully not next year's) to get someone valuable.
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
FO is not going to risk a big change like that, not until Duncan retires, then it's rebuild mode.

Tim Duncan has more rings than any active player not named Kobe Bryant or Derek Fisher.

Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan

So what are you gonna do when you do meet Mr Ginobili? Slap him in the face for being such a burden?
Come on, I know he's as old and done as _ason Kidd but he'd probably contribute more on the court than you.

I'll flick my finger and give him a big "Fuc* You" and tell him he doesn't deserve to have a great teammate like Tim Duncan. I'll kick him in the balls and tell him "you greedy bastard."

Funny, that sounds very similar to what 99% of people SpursTalk would do if they saw you.

Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
Lmao! Look out Lebron! Jeff Pendergraph is coming for you!! What a fucking joke of an offseason. Hasn't anyone seen Moneyball? They still fucking lose at the end!

Co-signed. :lmao at all these Spurs fans in the forums breaking their heads trying to figure out if the Spurs have used the MLE on Belli and Pendergraph. Spurs fans praying they still got a shot and AK47. All of these Spurs fans wouldn't be tormenting themselves had Manu taken less $$$ or retired. So greedy on his part. SMH. :rollin

In other words, there's ironic awesomeness in someone claiming Tim Duncan and then disclaiming everything that Tim Duncan stands for.

LOL why would Green or Parker be "untouchable" ? The only untouchables are Leonard and Duncan.. PERIOD. Everyone else should get shipped out if we can bring in better, tougher talent

Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
It's sad. At least Robinson had a young Tim Duncan to back him up when he got old. Duncan has a geriatric Argentinian, the softest big man in the NBA, and a Frenchie that's made a career out of choking in the playoffs.
-
Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
Danny Green had to set an NBA finals record for 3's and Parker was a top 3 player last year, thinking the same thing will happen next year is laughable. Spurs aren't winning next year, I doubt they'll even get out the first round, they added absolutely nothing to help them beat Miami.

The Spurs can build off their defense. It was the best in the NBA. The key is improving the offense against good defensive teams.

Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
1st ballot Hall of Famer
4 Rings
200 mil in his career
He's doing fine...

Re: I feel sorry for Tim Duncan
Yes the Spurs FO has been screwing him over and over again, do him a favor and trade him to the big D please!
