They are fucking idiots, excuse my french but if it fails all the time before it won't work next year. This FO and POP are so stubborn at times it's ridiculous. Bonner had 100 bad playoffs in a row, so he gets extended. I love this team but at times it makes me wonder what they honestly see.

That doesn't makes alot sense. Its either now or the deadline. Joseph, Mills and De Colo are essentially on 1 year deals. Stockpiling assets that are on 1 year deals with cheap salaries isn't going to net us very much.

Until the 23rd of this month. Then, Neal would have to allow them to withdraw it.
Re: Translating RC Buford's Press Conference
Really poorly executed off season, but no use crying over the mistakes. If the Spurs can stay healthy and Tim/TP don't fall off a cliff, Spurs are still a very good team.

He actually doesn't turn the ball over very often, He doesn't assist very often either. He is still better than Green. Neal need to be on the floor and with Manu being a play making 2 guard he only has to make plays half the time (or about 1/3 if you throw in Diaw's passing at the top of the key)
I also think Kawhi will play more with the second unit allowing him to run plays without Duncan or Parker on the floor. Neals responsibility as a PG is minimal, IMO. His scoring is impactful. Its been a while sense we've seen him explode (save for game 3) but he was banged up (he really was) this season. He had a game against Portland in December where he scored like 22 points in the second half including 13 in the forth to help us rally on the road. He can still be that guy he was his first two seasons with the Spurs. It just has to be at PG with Manu (hopefully) remaining healthy.

Dissapointing for sure but health with the old3 will b the key
Re: Translating RC Buford's Press Conference
I personally thought it was interesting how he mentioned "metrics" like 4x during that interview... we've heard rumors before about the FO being fairly into advanced stats, but this is probably one of the few times I've actually heard people from the FO directly bring it up.

There's a ridiculous amount of hating going on in this thread. This same roster pretty much breezed to the Finals and was more than good enough to win it all. Let's give the FO a little slack. Bonner played his best playoff basketball and fans are still shitting on him. I agree that some additional moves need and will be made but they don't have to happen right now. RC and gang will get things right.

Put together with larger 1 year deals, sure.

It's not so much about Bonner's fluctuating playoff performance, but really more about the chances of seeing Baynes in the rotation and see how much of an impact he can make. With Bonner back, you know that the two bigs out will be Baynes and Pendergraph. I guess PATFO have lot of faith in Duncan having another prime-level season at 38.

Yup Duncan is going to have a DPOY type performance again and Parker MVP.

This has probably already been said but when RC was talking about Ginobili making a "huge sacrifice coming back" he was actually talking about the structure of his previous contract when he took less money over an extended period of time to stay with the Spurs and allow the team to be more flexible in signing other guys.
I thought it was a pretty boring interview though. I did get a kick out of him saying that signing Pendergraph was to help against Dwight Howard. Though in all seriousness, I wouldn't be surprised if even Pendergraph could shut Howard down. I mean if Matt Bonner can do it...then Pendergraph should be more than able to hold his own.

He is one dimensional and he sucks on D, guess most teams can see that (He is not a backup PG either to say the least). He not getting a big offer does shock me though seeing how stupid some teams are out there.

The problem is Neal isn't capable of playing backup PG. We've all seen it. One would think Pop and RC would give up this ridiculous experiment.

Basically just Diaws contract. That won't net a ton and Diaw is way more valuable to the Spurs than somewhere else. Either way you look at it there is is excess at the PG position. De Colo and Mills seem redundant. Or moving Neal along with Joseph to net a wing.
Re: Translating RC Buford's Press Conference
Disappointing off season of free agency but not awful or bad. I'd take our signings and situation over the mavs, bucks, and several other nba teams in this league

Don't need to net much tbh.
And the alternative is to have less to trade. Is that better?

I wouldn't say that. They were gunning for AK. But Flip is a complete dick and cockblocker wrapped up in one. Heard that they were still trying for AK yesterday but still couldn't come with an agreement, which is why it took so long in the day for everyone to sign.
Spurs had a good plan. If Flip wasn't there, AK would be a Spur right now.
And for Neal, RC is no fool. He is just talking up Neal b/c obviously they probably are still trying to move him for something this offseason. He isn't signed at this point for some reason.

ElNono and timvp:
Who has the easier job?
ElNono translating Ginobili, or timvp translating RC?
Thanks for both translations.
