the unspoken truth..after so long we start believing the oft told lie that Kobe doesn't pass...Kobe's 45th all-time in NBA history in assists...and 4th all time in scoring.....being top 50 in passing is phenomenal for a shooting guard :toast

Re: Kobe Bryants Greatest Passes
Kobe's actually 32nd, and I am not sure where you got your numbers. While its true that Kobe fans need not worry about any non scoring total stat, I thought you'd want to exaggerate his accomplishments rather than diminish it.
Second, Kobe had an incredibly high number of games and minutes played, and his usage rate is thru the roof. He just handles the ball a lot more because he had derek fisher as his point guard.
Third, passing the ball to shaq for an assist is easy. He should have averaged 8 assists a game back in his first stint as a second banana.
Fourth, stephon Marbury and Tim hard away, both well known ballhogs, finished higher, so the list doesn't say whether a player is a good passer or not.
Finally, drexler finished higher as a sg, was he a better sg?

1st in playoff blocks, 2nd all time in playoff double doubles (only behind Magic), 3rd all time in playoff rebounds (only behind Wilt and Russell). tied for 2nd all time in Finals MVP (tied with Magic and Shaq, only behind Jordan) and he's swept the Lakers more than any team in the modern era

You said 45th. What is it that you originally thought? 45th or 55th?

No you weren't, you are just statistically incompetent, and have difficulty distinguishing between individual and team accomplishments.
Sam Jones > Kobe :lol

Don't forget, Tammy is not retired, yet. He's still on a top 3-5 NBA team while your team is in the bottom 10.

Not sure why you put playoffs in quotes, tbh.
And I'm sorry. Is stepping up and dominating the playoffs frowned upon in your book? I'm glad Kobe can pad his regular season stats while his career win% even in the regular season is lower than Duncan's even though he has had superior teammates over the course of their careers.

Although a shoot first pg tim hardaway was a great passer ...he just loved to score much like Kobe Droze is similar that way ...

Re: Kobe Bryants Greatest Passes
Still though, assists aren't necessarily a measure of passing skills, because it's fairly easy for guards to pad their assists at the expense of the offensive system.... just watch Rondo play for a good example of that, he routinely leads the league in assists by doing shit like passing up easy open layups in order to pass and pad his assist total.... CP3 is by far the better passer, but he gets less assists per game than Rondo because he works within the offense....

Come on. Hardaway could be a great passer, but guy was a ballhog, just less so than Kobe.
Also. Hardaway played way less games and had a much shorter prime.
