I thought that they would have the 2006 WCF since they had the 2005 ECF. Don't they switch back and forth?Quote:

Spurs-Pistons on Christmas Day highlights season
Associated Press
NEW YORK -- A Christmas Day doubleheader featuring the San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons in a rematch of the 2005 NBA Finals highlights the league's television schedule released Monday.
The second game on ABC will show Kobe Bryant, Phil Jackson and the Los Angeles Lakers against Shaquille O'Neal and the Miami Heat.
The NBA released its complete game schedule and national TV schedules of ABC, TNT, ESPN and NBA TV for the 2005-06 season.
The televised season begins Nov. 1 with the defending champion Spurs against the Denver Nuggets on TNT. The game includes the ring ceremony and launches a week of five consecutive nationally televised doubleheaders. In the second game, the Dallas Mavericks face the Phoenix Suns.
ESPN's coverage starts Nov. 2 with a doubleheader. The Philadelphia 76ers play at Detroit, followed by Jackson's first game back as coach in the Lakers-Nuggets game.
On Nov. 3, the Heat host the Indiana Pacers, and Jackson makes his home debut in the Phoenix Suns-Lakers matchup on TNT.
LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Spurs on Nov. 4 in the opener of ESPN's doubleheader that concludes with Minnesota-Seattle.
Former Pistons coach Larry Brown returns to Detroit with the New York Knicks on Dec. 2 on ESPN.

Predicting wins is futile...especially in August.
Schedule makers have traditionally crammed the spurs' last month with powerhouses. Glad to see it's relatively easy down the stretch.
Pray for health. Pray for continuity.
Am I the only one who thinks being the road game Christmas day undercard to Shaq-Kobe is an insult to the defending champs?
We should be at home and playing in the marquee game that day.

I'm just glad the Spurs are actually playing on X-mas. I was getting tired of watching Yao every holiday.
And you expected differently because....?Quote:

And also another stretch of 7 out of 9 on the road later.
And shouldn't the Champs be HOME on X-mas??
Ouch!
The Lakers have an road stretch that's worse than the Rodeo trip:

Tue 31 @ New York

Wed 1 @ Indiana
Fri 3 @ Charlotte

it might be posible that due to Manu's popularity over here in Argentina, we might be getting full coverage of the Spurs's season. Which would rock! :)
SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs will tip-off their 29th NBA season on Tuesday, November 1 at the SBC Center versus the Denver Nuggets.
The Spurs and Nuggets are the first game of the NBA’s Premiere Week which features five straight nights of double headers to open the 2005-06 season. As a part of Premiere Week the Spurs will also host LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, November 4.
All 82 regular season Spurs games during the 2005-06 season will be broadcast on radio in both English, on WOAI-AM 1200, and Spanish, on KCOR-AM 1350. Fox Sports Net, KENS-5 and WB35 will split the Spurs television schedule which will be announced at a later date.
The Detroit Pistons will host the Spurs in a rematch of the 2005 NBA Finals on Christmas Day to begin ABC’s national broadcast schedule. The Spurs are scheduled to play 29 games on national television including both games against the Miami Heat (12/7 and 1/20 on ESPN) and two contests versus the Phoenix Suns (1/7 on NBATV and 3/9 on TNT). The Spurs will also make a special television appearance on January 16 when they face the Memphis Grizzlies in Memphis on TNT to help the NBA commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The NBA schedule makers will test the Spurs early as they embark on a five-game road trip the second week of the season. The Spurs will face Dallas (11/5), Chicago (11/7), Charlotte (11/9), Boston (11/11) and Washington (11/12) on that first trip. The Spurs will head out on the annual “Rodeo road trip” on January 30 when they face Utah (1/30), Portland (2/1), Golden State (2/2), Toronto (2/8), New Jersey (2/10), Indiana (2/12), Cleveland (2/13) and Philadelphia (2/15). The Spurs return to the SBC Center on February 21 to face the Seattle Sonics.
I don't think so. I think its on a contractual basis. I don't remember who had the 2004 WCF but I think that TNT had the 2003 WCF.Quote:
