Re: Not enough meltdown...
After we lose Game 7 I predict a relative ghost town. Manu has gut punched us so many times we don't even have air left to gasp.

This is my feeling as well. Manu and TP each having kids recently, Duncan with his divorce, just some off the court stuff for guys that have already accomplished everthing they have in their profession. Just gotta question how badly the Spurs want to advance as they really haven't played that hungry in a month. I don't think they much left in the tank even if they somehow win this series.
Also, some reports came out that Jeff's dad asked him to change his name back to Pendergraph. Just that kind of ending tbh....

:lol I'll probably be MIA again but will check in once in a while to make sure my nigga robdiaz is keeping up with his studies and staying in school tbh....
Only to reappear in November and convince myself that a team featuring Enrique and Kawhi can win the West tbh....

back in the day, ginobili wasn't 37 years old... he's been awesome this series overall though... one of the reasons we haven't lost the series yet...

I noticed you disappearing as well, buying your face in that So. Cal. blow IIRC. actually disappearing not a bad idea, I think this site is going to be a troll bukkake eventually. I'll probably be taking more breaks as well. damn I don't look forward to the Enrique Experiment without Duncan.

open your eyes, ginobili has been 37 years old since 2008 or thereabouts

:lol that's pretty convenient... he's been here since 2003... Spurs are lucky they have a 37 year old that can still carry them through games...
It's not sustainable, but this is obviously not Manu's team anymore... or shouldn't be.

Yeah, this place is pretty terrible in the offseason with the "How can the Spurs get LeBron?" threads but I'm always back the next season regardless of how terribly the Spurs were bounced the year before. But you can only do some many "tbhs" tbh.....
Time off is always a good thing. it always helps to remember that all these guys are millionaires that are set for life, so you really shouldn't get too down if they lose...

Pretty much between 2005 to circa 2009... alongside Tim, he was doing a lot of the heavy lifting, closing games, winning championships... not sure you remember that, because IIRC, you gave up on the team around 2006?

i thought this place would pick up with the postseason, per hte par, but it only seems slightly more active. it's nowhere what it used to be, I guess 6 and the lunatics taking over the asylum has that effect.
you're right about taking time off. I seemed to enjoy the NBA more when I'd just take breaks, focus in after All Star and not get caught up in the WWE nature of it all.

he stepped up (at times) to TD's #1 sidekick maybe. but come on, are you going to say this was 'Manu's team' in any year?

true that. I knew this postseason was going to be an emotional rollercoaster, but it ain't over yet. hopefully Spurs have some more shekelstein help or miracles in them.

Tim is the franchise, the foundation, this will always be his team. Misses the point though, this team always needed a couple of extra guys to come up big, and they've been largely Manu and Tony.
Even Pop said he changed the offense to run it through Manu through those years, and did it again to run it primarily through Tony the last couple of years.
Father time catches up to everyone, it only makes sense that the heavier burden is carried by the younger legs... it's certainly nice that the old guys are still able to put up a solid fight here and there though. You just can't be dependent on the old legs to work all the time.

outside that year Manu broke his arm in the last game of the regular season, which postseason hasn't been a rollercoster? :lol
-
Re: Not enough meltdown...
BTW, nice edit, vander... :lol
But you should leave it at 2007, since you quit on Tim and the team before then, tbh...
