A very good friend of mine who works at the airport has informed me his sighting of Tim Duncan before leaving to Portland yesterday, He asked Timmy while he was passing by how he felt and if this is the last year we would see him playing... Timmy then replied "I have 2 more good years left "
My friend wouldn't bs me.. I hope this is good news for you guys :)
When you think about it. why retire when your getting low min... good money and still schooling others in this league. If pop can continue to control his mins this is totally feasible!
Tim is known for confiding in random airport employees, tbh, so this must be accurate..

Not to mention that his weight loss has allowed even less wear and tear on his body. The bottom line with Tim is going to be, "At what level of contribution is he comfortable remaining in the NBA?" If he wants to be a top 2-3 player on a championship contender, he probably has another 1-3 years left. If he doesn't mind dropping to where David Robinson was in his final year (8.5 ppg, 7.9 rpg, plus solid defense in 26 mpg)? He could probably play another 5-10 years if he wanted to.

Your friend is BSing you. The entire Spurs team, including Duncan, was at the Nike facility yesterday in Beaverton Oregon. Multiple employees were excited to see them in the employee store.
Manu recently confided in a Taco Cabana employee that he had a minimum of 4 years left (of playing at an elite level). After that, he will evaluate his retirement on a yearly basis.
