WTF? I pray I don't ever have to watch that...even in Hell.
it would suck if Ray Allen makes a buzzer beating 3 game winner in game 1 :lmao
It'll happen. Just like Fish's '04 shot on the '05 DVD.
Allen worries me more than any other Heat player.
You should just hope it comes down to a game winner. Given what we've seen thus far in the playoffs, close games aren't common.
....was a travel.
Works for me if we win. It'll soothe the pain, but it won't completely be gone because we would have finally repeated and shut up a lot of the media. :lol
I was going through my Spurs championship boxset revisiting the fourth quarter clinching games as well as the championship dvd's themselves and man does virtually every DVD start off with some insanely depressing event from the year before (losing all those games to the lakers in 02 despite having the lead heading into the fourth quarter every game except for game 5, fisher's .4 shot, manu's foul)
Damn.
YES, the Spurs have always won the championship after a tragic loss. 2004 Fisher shot -> 2005 title. 2006 Mavs loss -> 2007 title. 2013 Heat loss -> ???
I was thinking of Tony's heroics on that last shot and how we almost dropped 2 at home. If you think about it, sure we blew them out a game or two, but it was because Danny and Gary were unconscious from outside. We lost at home, and almost lost the other one at home. We could have easily gone into game 6 down 3-2. Wouldn't have mattered, but it's not like we destroyed them in SA. We lost the HCA that we took from them.
i thought the game 3 win we had was more about Neal than Green. Neal hit a majority of his big shots while the game was close and as we started to pull away. Green hit a majority of his shots when the game was basically already out of hand, but he made sure the Heat didn't get any ideas of coming back. I think having gone up against OKC's aggressive, athletic defense last round was a pretty good practice bout for this round.
Ray Allen's 3 altered NBA history in a big way, more than any one shot I can remember. LeBron's legacy would be drastically different, as would the aura around the Spurs. a win this year, and 6 won't really bother me all that much anymore. would be an additional cherry if we win and the big 3 split up, we'd be the ones who broke the dynasty
^basically a mixed bag/ramble, but thats what NBA Finals eve does to people, i guess
Manu was banged up, but he's el contusion... no excuses. he had a monster game 3 though
Time to wait for the DVD :lobt2:
