can some one post a pic of christie's wife?????
must be a serious looker if she's got him whipped like this .
Nah , wat am i sayin, she must be average at best if she's so insecure.
You know, if Christie has some sort of player option/yearly contract renewal, guys would probably rethink this one and marriage in general.:lolQuote:

Doesnt it start to loose it meaning year after year.....
I was thinking that same thing.Quote:

I have been married, and I think renewing vows is romantic and so on but don't think its for me. I would never judge a couple for doing so.
However, a full-on wedding is a thing of a different scale, and just personally I think too much to inflict on friends and family every year. A wedding is a time when the 2 most important people of the day have their moment; they don't need to be the center of attention for all their friends and family every year once a year, do they? If not, do a private ceremony.
However the hosts of this wonderful site wish to celebrate their union, mozeltov.
Just a thought; If everyone who could afford it did this, we average Joes would all be broke buying all the wedding presents, much less springing for the party every year.
Now, a honeymoon once a year sounds pretty sweet...
I wouldn't mind being a Christie family relative .
You;d get to go to a free shindig every year. And I love me some catered food.
good idea. especially since a large % of marriages don't make it past 4 years. (now thats sad. :depressed )Quote:

Maybe this time we'll have dancing.
Well, I don't think the Christies expect their friends to give them presents every year. I just think of what they do as a anniversary party where they renew their vows. I don't think that their friends and family feel that it's "inflicted" on them or else they wouldn't go. I personally wouldn't mind if my sister, for example, had an anniversary party where she renewed her vows each year. I'd probably even give her a gift.Quote:

I guess his wife let's him have bachelor/stag party before every re-marriage?

There are some really funny articles out there I remember from when this subject came up last year on this forum.
I also think that when the team doesn't allow her on the bus she follows it and talks to Doug via cellphone the whole ride.
edit: here's the hand tattoo (and no, he doesn't have the words there)

The getting married every year thing doesn't seem so bizarre...until I read the article. That's just plain dysfunctional. Does she carry his balls around in her purse, or do they have a special satin-lined box?
I wonder if he asks teams if she can travel with him on road trips before signing?
I don't think he could ever play for the Spurs - remember when Pop sent all the wives and girlfriends home after Game 4 in Detriot. I don't think Mrs. Jackie and Doug Christie would like that.
Pop actually didn't send them home. He just sent the women to another hotel. Mrs. Barry didn't like it and came home.
Strikes me as a cheap affirmation and a lame attempt to garner attention.
In a word, insecure.
