The biggest change was Messi returning to GOD form, tbh. But your boy is up there in terms of importance, having a true number 9 there helped Barca a lot, I don't think that it necessarily had to be Suarez, with any top 10 number 9 in the World playing between the opposing center backs and at the line of the last defender and allowing Messi to play more freely Barca would have been fine but if it is a top 3 striker like the Uruguayan much btter.

They all beat Barca at some point. It's been a major down year for UCL

The greatest UCL performer of all-time is in the final, it is one of the best years for UCL, tbh.

Correction, the highest scorer of all-time is in the final
Real, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, Atletico, Dortmund and Arsenal were all weaker this season. Barca and Juventus are having their best runs. Meh. Forgettable Final

People don't care to tune into Messi failing again, it commonly happens

Messi being in amazing form is obviously huge, but a lot of credit has to be given to Lucho for doing a tremendous jobs on set pieces both offensively and defensively. Barca scored a combined 12 headers from the prior 3 seasons, yet this season they've scored 15 alone. They also do a much much better job defending set pieces and in defense overall. He's gotten the team to remain fresh throughout the season (even though his first half rotations were a bit over the top but in the long term they worked out well.)
Messi moving out wide to accommodate Suarez was an underrated move. Up until that point Suarez was struggling and Messi was having a tough time finding space in the middle. From January onward the team went HAM after that.
It's one hell of a turnaround considering the team looked dead in the water around Christmas with Madrid's 22 game win streak, Pique/Alves completely out of form, Messi's son accidentally pressing the follow button Chelsea's instagram account, and Lucho getting set to be fired after the Atletico match.

Yeah, Barca getting Vermalen back should be a nice boost.

Re: The Official UEFA Champions League Thread, 2014-15
Vermaelen is shit. If he can't hack it at a club like Arsenal, what makes you think he's going to be able with Bayern. Maybe in the Bundesliga, but wait till they run into a CL club.
And stop being so butt hurt, infinite.

:lmao
I was kidding about Vermaelen, he was a complete waste of money especially for a team facing a transfer ban.
Just hope Alves somehow stays through next season.
