And you are light 10 or 11 yourself, thanks to Boston. By my math, "Join Date 01-01-2010" makes you a Post MVPau squatter and the Spurs have the same number of titles the Lakers do since that time. Also, you're here trying to troll your hero around like a late model Ali, all shakey and slick faced and shit, but your team hasn't been worth a fuck since June 2010. That's going on 5 years ya know.

Boiled down, Kobe is nowhere near MJ. Will need like 6-7 extra seasons to pass him in points, will never catch in other stats ('ships, finals MVP's, MVP's). Kobe's not even the best player of his generation, he wasn't even the best player of the Lakers for half of his career.
-
Re: Total Assist Leaders in the 30,000 Point Club
Of course he has more assists. He's always needed his teammates to carry him to a title.

Ball hog stat whores can easily rack up assists. It's the most overrated stat in basketball and doesn't really define a player's selfishness/unselfishness.

Do I need to search all your posts to find complaints on how you said Enrique plays too much hero ball and wouldn't pass (which, I don't know, led to assists)? Yet you tryna tell me assists are overrated? :lol
Team ball and making the extra pass led to the destruction of the cHeat and 5. But assists are overrated! :lol

I'd imagine Kirby doesn't get a lot of "hockey assists" (passes that set up teammates' assists), tbh....

You're not saying much son. Kobe wasn't a full-time starter from the beginning like MJ - very idiotic of Del Harris. Kobe was the first starting all star guard that didn't even start for his own team. :lol
Had he played more minutes his first couple years and more than 6 games last year, he would have been passed MJ.

Assists do not equal passing.
Wilt Chamberlain "led the league in assists," but he would often pass up open shots in favor of recording an assist. I'll also never forget Sebastian Telfair breaking the McDonald's All America game assist record by doing the exact same shit. Same with "Kobe Johnson."
Assists per game don't define how good or bad a playmaker is. Larry Bird was nearly as good a playmaker as Magic, but never got close to Magic's APG averages.
We don't complain about Parker for not passing, we complain when he overdribbles and allows the ball to stick. If he overdribbles for 12 seconds and then passes the ball, it's still heroball and selfish, despite him "unselfishly" giving the ball up.
Kobe isn't a bad playmaker, but citing his career assist total isn't really evidence of anything.
-
Re: Total Assist Leaders in the 30,000 Point Club
How many of those assists were racked up when he refused to shoot in the second half of that game 7 vs the suns to prove a point?

He didn't fail at all instead God dominated the league when he didn't have Shaq or Gasol. The refs cheated the Lakers in '06 had they not called some bs calls in that game 6 than God would have gone all the way to the finals that year.
