Team ball and making the extra pass led to the destruction of the cHeat and 5. But assists are overrated! :lol
I could go on and on. On the one hand, y'all call him a selfish Ballhog. On the other hand, getting assists don't matter. Because the stat is overrated? :lol - yet you use Chimpy Hollinger's PER stat in many of your arguments? :lolK mid
Assists do not equal passing.
Wilt Chamberlain "led the league in assists," but he would often pass up open shots in favor of recording an assist. I'll also never forget Sebastian Telfair breaking the McDonald's All America game assist record by doing the exact same shit. Same with "Kobe Johnson."
Assists per game don't define how good or bad a playmaker is. Larry Bird was nearly as good a playmaker as Magic, but never got close to Magic's APG averages.
We don't complain about Parker for not passing, we complain when he overdribbles and allows the ball to stick. If he overdribbles for 12 seconds and then passes the ball, it's still heroball and selfish, despite him "unselfishly" giving the ball up.
Kobe isn't a bad playmaker, but citing his career assist total isn't really evidence of anything.
Re: Total Assist Leaders in the 30,000 Point Club
How many of those assists were racked up when he refused to shoot in the second half of that game 7 vs the suns to prove a point?
Re: Total Assist Leaders in the 30,000 Point Club
This thread enlightened me that tiny archibald is it a ball hog because he got 6000+ assists.

Lakers didn't win until they signed Shaq and traded for Gasol,,,,Kobrick was given an opportunity to be the Alpha male when neither was on the team and he failed miserably.

He didn't fail at all instead God dominated the league when he didn't have Shaq or Gasol. The refs cheated the Lakers in '06 had they not called some bs calls in that game 6 than God would have gone all the way to the finals that year.
