Re: Pick-3: 2015 Free Agency
1) Brooks Lopex, IMO, he is the only that deserves this kind of money.
2) Tobias Harris
3) Alec Burks
Theres a chance my 2nd and 3rd picks get a lot of money.

Re: Pick-3: 2015 Free Agency
1. Anthony Davis/Kevin Love
2. Bradley Beal/Paul Millsap
3. Anthony Bennett/John Henson/Mirza Teletovic

All these are Team Options on their rookie contracts, the 2012 draft class hits restricted free agency 2016

In that case:
1. Kevin Love
2. Roy Hibbert/Paul Millsap/Jeff Green
3. Mirza Teletovic

Re: Pick-3: 2015 Free Agency
Brook Lopez would probably be better as a 4 tbh. He'd be excellent alongside Splitter
-
Re: Pick-3: 2015 Free Agency
If TD/Manu retire, then Milsap/Gerald Green to replace them.

Teletovic is a great shout actually, he'd be a perfect replacement for Bonner. He's tough as nails too, one of my favourite non-Spurs players, more than a little bit because of his reaction to Lebrons tough guy routine.
I'm surprised you'd take Hibbert over Millsap too.

If you want a franchise player, You will get the star, the #1 team option, not just one more player. If you want valuable role players, You'll have to pay. That's not the case of SAS. Just it. If I was a star player I won't to play in a team wich already has a legend, a star because I want to be the #1, the protagonist, the franchise player, not an luxury role player.

I'm not so sure, Lopez is great in the post and it would be too congested with Splitter in there. They could play together, Brook is a decent mid range shooter, but it would hamstring his best asset which is post scoring.

He and Chago would be interchangeably like Duncan and Splitter are now. I don't think Lopez is mobile at all.

Chago needs to work on that jumper. It's already pretty good, be he needs more confidence in it.

he's not, but he's a good rim protector. as far as his scoring ability goes, his game is similar to Duncan's. he has a variety of post moves and can step out and hit the mid-range shots. Duncan and Splitter work well together on both ends, except against teams that play small

Oh I mentioned those names without a pecking order of any sort. I just noticed Hibbert's been training with Duncan the two summers prior the most recent one, and he might not be a lost cause (yet). Reading too much into it, I know, but as they say, you can't teach height.

I'm assuming the wheels won't fall off in just a year. Guy looked great for Memphis this past season.

Lopez may actually be a better offensive big than Tim is now. And with better defensive players around him, he should be able to play to his strengths on that end. I agree the combo can work, but the roster will ne vulnerable, as you said.
The Spurs are going to have to find two good bench players next summer in addition to a starting four/five (assumming the oldies move on). It will be a great help if Anderson is ready for a big role as bench creator, and LJC can be the third defender. But the team will need a young, competent center to run with he bench and potentially start when guys rest/get hurt.

Re: Pick-3: 2015 Free Agency
A player I haven't heard mentioned but I've just thought about is Thaddeus Young. He has an ETO which means he could be a free agent in 2015, and if he's still with Philly I think he almost certainly takes it. I'd take him at $10m per if Duncan plays another year and the need to another big man isn't paramount.

I like Thad a lot, but I'd prefer Millsap for the same money. I think Paul is further along the developmental curve toward being a true combo-forward than Young is.

Mabye...maybe not. I think Wade, Bosh (Heat), Pierce, Garnett (Celtics) readjusted their star-role in order to win a ring.

Re: Pick-3: 2015 Free Agency
Brook Lopez would be perfect for us.

Re: Pick-3: 2015 Free Agency
1. Lamarcus Aldridge- tremendous high post player and shooter. His shot is unblockable. Dominates undersized PF's (i.e. Terrence Jones).
2. Marc Gasol- Defensive anchor and unselfish player.
3. Roy Hibbert- If he continues to lack confidence in the way he plays that will really hurt him getting paid for his next contract.
4. Brook Lopez- Excellent low post scorer and a decent defender. Is always injured however.
Also, a BIG NO to Al Jefferson. I used to be an Jefferson backer, but his defense is so bad that it would compromise the Spurs whole defensive scheme.

Re: Pick-3: 2015 Free Agency
How would folks feel about Tristan Thompson for a contract at the lowest end of 2? I honestly don't see much good about him, but he's a young PF with some upside, and I doubt Cleveland goes through too much to re-sign him once Love reups.

There's no way the Cavs let him go, he's represented by the same people as Lebron. I'd see the Cavs matching $40m/4yr, especially with the cap going up. If they aren't going to match any reasonable offer, they'll probably trade him in the Love deal.

I just can't seem then signing three max deals and having two more deals that are bigger than $8 Million APY. That's just not sustainable. It's especially unsustainable since the Cavs would be sinking at least $51 Million a year into two positions.
