waiting for the hammer tbh...
Manu playing like shit cost the title. Parker playing like shit doesn't means shit, didn't make any difference. Just kidding...
:D
Tony=shit in the close out games of the last 3 series imho
Comparing Manu to Tony. Apples and oranges.
Tony was so irrelevant this year that we won despite him playing like shit tbh
Tony played like a PG but the times he went hero mode Pop took him out for Patty and it worked great, like the poster above said he was irrelevant but at least he played team ball so no damage at all.
:[email protected] any faggot hating on TP.
Uhhh NO! Every year after the season ST needs a scapegoat. Parker has been getting bashed more than Manu lately.
Don't understand the hate for both of them tbh. We don't win anything without both of them playing...good or bad. 2013 Finals was nearly won with Manu having an a horrid series, but had we won, he would've deserved every bit of the pie. These guys are part of "OUR" team. Why not root for them, better yet you probably deserve to have Westbrook or Chris Paul as your point guard so you can be fulfilled.
still waiting for the ban tbh
Parker's play was inept, but it wasn't a net-negative the way Manu's play was in '13.
I ain't going as far as talking shit about TP, but his absence against OKC in the closeout did open my eyes a little bit. His new contract is pricey, but my real issue w/ that is thinking about that 3rd year with him making 14.3 mil.
:lol guy with a french flag under his name is mad at anti-tony smack
I was watching game 5 again, and Manu was more impressive than I thought when watching it live.

Op's feelings hurt.:rollin
If Spurs won last year, all fans would be talking about is Manu's inspiring Game 5 to put San Antonio up 3-2 and his clutch free throws to close it out.
Manu is an X-factor, Tony is more of a constant. The Spurs rely on his consistency. Manu's impact is more readily felt, positive and negative, to the outcome of important games so he stirs more of an emotional response from the fans.
You expect Tony to play well with few mistakes. When he is struggling it's obvious because you just expect him to always be playing at a very high level. He wasn't on his game in the post season this year due to his injuries. The close out games against both OKC and Miami were evidence of that. But he still played decently, considering.
I still remember parkertards saying Manu should sign for the vet minimum :lmao
Good times, tbh
:lol in your post you did not mention anything related to timvp
your words were: "troofbombs that would be banworthy upstairs"
your statement is wrongPERIOD. Not sure why this thread became another TP/Manu thread tbh... TDMVPDPOY has not been banned because of TP trash talking but because he was trash talking every single thread and basically because you cannot understand what he is writing.
:lol @ koon the village idiot thinking it's a thread about me being mad
tdmvpretard was banned from upstairs because he would just post the same incoherent shit over and over again
he would just say shit like "fkn parker wanker" and people would say LMAO TRUTH BOMBZZ
How you sound right now tho.
Parker's never had 8 turnovers in a playoff game.
Manu's agent dropping some strong truthbombs, tbh....
I mean isn't it expected at this pointQuote:
playoffs: Tony plays like shit
:lol so much butthurt in this thread. Love it
:cry vive la france! :cry
Green and Mills were X factors.
manu was merely a role player. Shawn Marion or Vince Carter could have done a similar or better job tbh
One year we lost, and the other year we won. One year, the player playing like garbage cost us a title, the other year, the player playing like garbage didn't cost us a thing.
I'm pretty sure if Parker had 8 turnovers in a series clincher, we would not have clinched.

game was already over after the 3rd.
Was it Bonner that couldn't hit the side of a barn when the games were close, but after we would go up 20, he couldn't miss?... can't remember anymore, tbh
FWIW, Tony was great last season... you can call me a Tony homer, I don't care, tbh...
Manu vastly improved this year, but it can't be denied that we lost last year largely because of his sloppy play in game 7 last year.
Tony is a huge reason why we win, so the two have different impact level.
I think you're confusing Game 6 with Game 7. Manu scored 18 (11 points in the second half) and lead the team in +/- (+6) He made plays to help keep us in the game. Found Kawhi for an open 3 to cut the lead to 88-90 with 2 minutes to go.
He forced a turnover on Wade with 4 minutes remaining and got Green an wide open 3 (that he missed) that would have tied the game up for the first time in the since the 3rd quarter.
If he didn't score in double figures we probably would have lost by double digits. Duncan and Leonard were the offense in that game (Duncan, Leonard and Manu combined for 61 off our 88 points). Parker had only 10 points.
Tony and Manu help give the Spurs 4 NBA Titles and yet there are still fucking retards on this forum that still complain about stats. You all need to appreciate these guys a little more because the end of an era is getting really close!
Oh wait!
I forgot!!
TBH

Both Manu and Tony are top 5 Spurs players of all-time, tbh..
Manu was terrible in 2013 playoffs, so was Parker in the 2014 playoffs..the difference being that the Spurs won in 2014 due to having the deepest roster in league history, motivation from the 2013 loss, and getting hot at the right time..
Manu in 2013 received more attention because the Spurs lost, and because everybody(non-Spurs fans) was cheering against the Heat, leading to disappointment and anger towards the Spurs when they lost(and with Ginobli being the worst Spur in the Finals, he received the mainstream negative attention)..
Realistically, Parker was nearly as bad in the 2014 playoffs, but didn't get the attention for obvious reasons..I don't know why it's so difficult for people to admit that Tony played like ass in these past playoffs, it's not like Manu and Duncan haven't had poor playoff runs, as well..everybody has down years..
Not really..
If you replace 2014 Parker with 2013 Manu, Spurs still easily win the championship, especially because Miami was a lot worse than they were in 2013..
Mills, Diaw and Splitter being much improved in the playoffs made a massive difference, and Manu and Tony essentially swapped roles with each other from 2013 to 2014:lol..
Not quite, tbh.
Tony showed a lot of leadership in 2014 and didn't throw the ball around the arena. I love Manu, but Tony is a more consistent player.
You are absolutely right that our bench was superior this year and that made the biggest difference. That, and Miami really playing like they didn't care, except for LeBron.
It was a team loss last year and a team win this year.
:smokin
Manu will always get the blame for why the Spurs don't win the championship (whether it was from an injury or mistake) even though it's a team game and not enough credit for if we win.
I think TP had one of his best playoffs because we weren't overly dependent on him and yet he was still able to get his numbers. I'm pretty sure he was our leading scorer in the Finals/playoffs. I think he was the best at picking his spots to attack this playoffs. That made us extremely difficult to defend.
