Poor taste. But I agree I've had Kawhi above George for some time. Granted I may be a homer
Kawhi role in the team isn't even close to the role PG had in the Pacers.
Paul George has shown himself to be a much better offensive player, and any difference in defensive ability between them is minimal.
I always thought Kawhi was the better player between the two b4 last season even started.
Anyone wanna have some fun reading?
http://forums.realgm.com/boards/view...f=14&t=1268220 kawhi green and 2 first round picks for greg monroe right after last years finals. hahahahahahaa
I agree on the O part except PG shoots a low PCT. Way lower than Kawhi. On D Kawhi has it, no question at all he is better. PG though right now or this year was a better O player true indeed, by far at times. When Kawhi locks in and gets aggressive like the Finals is when he can flat out excell. If he plays at that level it's close.
PG is hurt now though, BAD TASTE OP.
Kawhi, because he was smart enough to know that FIBA games are meaningless.
Paul George retiring at 24 http://dailyleak.org/2014/08/paul-george-retires-at-24/
if PG had come to the Spurs instead of KL, he would have had a lesser role in the offensive and been used more as a defensive player. Just like Kawhi.
I don't think we've seen fully what Kawhi is capable of. The last 3 games of the Finals was the first time he scored 20+ in 3 straight. And he was going against LBJ and he did it pretty efficiently. Meanwhile he forced Lebron to work hard to score with his defense. If PG had been capable of that the Pacers would have been in the Finals.
It has always been the finals mvp tbh.
Ouch. Too Soon. Too Soon.
it is? cuz i've seen lebron's eyes light up when george was holding him. they even tried lance stephenson to contain lebron. paul george takes a LOT of shots. some of them very bad shots. all of this talk about being a better scorer due to him averaging more points requires looking at the fine print. George averages 21 ppg on 42% shooting while takint 17 shots a game. Leonard averages 13 ppg on 52% shooting while taking only 10 shots per game. so if leonard shooting 52% takes 8 more shots per game with his consistency, that's 4 more shots he makes and 8 more points per game leaving them averaging the same amount of points. plus leonard shot a better 3 point percentage. George just shot a lot of 3's.
The fact he got injured his irrelevant to his abilities as a player, that could have happened to anybody. He will return back full strength because it's just a broken bone instead of a torn ligament. Bone injuries don't tend to linger in players like torn ACLs do.
George is slightly superior to Kawhi offensively, but isn't as good defensively. Pick your preference, really.

Kawhi is better because...Paul George busted his leg? If that's the argument the OP had in mind wow you're cut to be a lawyer good job mate
Sidenote: George didn't have to break a leg just to be worse than Kawhi. Poring over Basketball-Reference would prove Kawhi has a slight edge on some aspects of the game.
I say get PG so the team can be as great as the Pacers
after i see leonard the go-to-guy in san antonio or george winning the finals with the tim, manu, parker, ill comeback here and give you an accurate answer.
