"Marco Belinelli is taking a crossfit approach to gear himself up for the Spurs’ upcoming championship defense. Among his favorite apparatuses: Trucks, large tires and good, old-fashioned cones."
That's a good sign. Dude knows how important and difficult this title defense will be. Can't wait to see how he improves in his second year with this team.

Re: Marco Belinelli's Offseason Workout
It's a contract year for him... coming out of a championship, putting in the work... a good season from him could mean big bucks in the end...
We're also going to have an Italian assistant that's likely to be on his ass...
This is what Ettore said about Beli back in 2012:
"Amongst the three Italian NBAers, Marco Belinelli is the one I know less. But also the one I admire the most. He is stubborn and determined. It could be easy for him to go back to Europe and monetize his American experience with a rich contract. But it is just his grit and determination that make him an example for all those talented players that do not accept to put themselves at stake on an NBA court."
We're also going to have an Italian assistant that's likely to be on his ass...
Nono, that's just plain bullshit to stereotype an entire nationality like that. And, while they are geographically close to one another, it doesn't mean that they share similar sexual proclivities as the Greeks, so don't be so rude.

Re: Marco Belinelli's Offseason Workout
It will be interesting to see if the Spurs use him any different this season with Mills out and Joseph relatively unproven.
Maybe some no PGs lineups with Ginobili-Belinelli-Anderson-Diaw-Ayers/Baynes. With the Spurs experimenting more with Ginobili playing off ball.

I think he's still going to back up Kawhi at SF, and do some cameos as SG/PG... my impression apriori is that Pop will try out Anderson at the PG spot while Patty is out... we'll see...

It really was touching to see how emotional he was about the win. That interview really gained him even more points in my book. Good to see him training hard, and hope he follows what was a good year with an even better one. Austin Daye, who I am kind of expecting to prove was a good trade for Nando, has taken a bunch of selfies, played in some celebrity no defense pick-up games, and caught a fish. He's currently in Cabo, probably buying more kicks to snap pics of and throw up on Instagram, while the pros are dragging around tires. Tires Daye says? I got some 22s on my Benz.

I would think that Anderson would play SF or PF off the bench. He can still play the point but as a forward and can force mismatches, especially if a PF is covering him.

There might be extra minutes for him at small ball PF if Pop decides to rest Diaw a bit after a long summer (I suspect there's a good probability of that)
On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Pop gives him the "get over yourself" treatment and sends him straight to the Toros, with Daye getting his minutes, at least to start the season.
This place will probably erupt if that happens, but it really shouldn't be shocking... lots of little subplots this season... I think training camp will determine a lot of that.

Good for Beli.
His chemistry with Manu last season was amazing. Although it did not transit to the playoffs.
BTW, if any of you speak italian, this is also a great vid...

Nice video, even if you don't speak italian. I didn't know they let opposing teams use their gym/training facility (see Birdman at 8:19). I thought they leased some other local gym or worked out in the AT&T center.

Re: Marco Belinelli's Offseason Workout
his problem with defense is 70% mental
is fucks up his assignment all the time.. so i don't see why all this physical training is any good
actually, it might be our curse since if he looks good in reg season, he'll play more playoff minutes
