Anthony Davis I suppose. Keep the good times rolling with a mini me Duncan clone and hope he improves. We've had great big man on our team for about 25 years since the Admirals debut and built great teams around them. Will be weird without an all timer manning the post for us. Build around a big man.
Best case scenario: Marc Gasol or Anthony Davis.
But more likely: Re-sign Bonner.
I would still take Lebron, after the inevitable Dan Gilbert's Letter II...
oh are we talking impossible pipe dreams? anthony davis.
are we talking about the sobering reality that we're going to fall off a cliff when duncan/manu retire? i'm not prepared to go there yet :lol
Jahlil Okafor..
Davis could be the game's best player in a year or two. He looks incredibly polished like Duncan was back in 1999.
Mengke Bateer .... nuff said :hat
Davis, bron
In the realm of the not entirely impossible, I'd love to see Noel come over. Dude's a lot more skilled than I expected, and he'll be an RFA when the Spurs get a lot of cap flexibility in 2017. With the way Philly's collecting bigs, they might be inclined to let him go.
If Timmy and Manu both retire after this season, then Milsap/Gerald Green.
Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe
Roy Hibbert or Serge Ibaka
Kevin Love + Marc Gasol
1 Anthony Davis
2 LaMarcus Aldridge
Greg Monroe.
Davis > Marc > Aldridge > Blair
Anthony Davis or Greg Monroe.
Davis..ALL IN!
1. Davis
2. Noel
3. Monroe
1. Davis
2.Cousins
3.Drummond
Wouldn't the Pelicans be able to offer more money though?
Kinda depressing to think about trying to replace a fraction of what Duncan and Ginobili bring to the team.
That said: Lebron, Davis, Durant, Love, Aldridge, DeRozan come to mind.
Anthony Davis. No question.
Davis, Davis, Davis, Davis, and Davis. Because he spits hot fire.
not a huge fan of monroe, but he'd fit well next to splitter
Monroe can shoot from outside about as well as Splitter can. He wouldn't fit the team at all. He'd be even farther down my list than Marc Gasol.
Is Oberto still available?
Davis, Aldridge, Noel.
Curry/Davis/Horford
Messi
After TD and Manu are gone I just want the Spurs to focus on building a balanced and competitive team. Signing a big name free agent means that the rest of your team, particularity your role players, will be sub-par.
There are VERY few guys IMO who deserve to be max players. Really just Lebron, Anthony Davis, Chris Paul and Tony Parker at this point. So many guys are overpaid. And with the way the Spurs play, they don't even need a top tier guy to win. See game 6 vs OKC, when Cojo and Patty came in for an injured Parker and won on the road in a series clincher vs the 2nd best team in the NBA. Parker is the best PG in the NBA, and we hardly skip a beat without him in the game. It's how we play, not who's on the team that really counts.
Obviously Davis, but M. Gasol would be pretty awesome too.
