Should be a great game. Argentina is facing tough times right now...I think (and hope, for Splitters sake) that Brazil takes it.
Scola, 40 pts, 20reb, 10 steals, 5 blocks because he's the Brazil NT kriptonite.
Brazil has Splitter, Varejao and Nene to try to stop Scola. Saddly they are not enough. Scola will score 40/15/8/5 anyway.
In 2010 Brazil almost won and its backup bigmen were J.P Baptista and Murilo. With Nene and Hettsheimer the team got an huge upgrade.
In 2010 Argentina had Ginobili, Delfino and Oberto. Now it doesn't. In 2012 only Oberto wasnt in London.
Brazil is supposed to win. But you never knows.
This is the time Brazil finally gets us, tbh.
Brazil is the better team...
I'm already ready for the Scola 35 pts and 12031-239-12939120390239'2193'1 3 pointers from Gutierrez
RIP Brazil independence day
Hope Argentina wins, fuck brazil.
Even with washed up veterans Argentina should take it.
Uh I forgot there's Barbosa Westibricking or TonyParking...
I hope Argentina wins, but is unlikely, all bets favor Brasil.
They have the best frontcourt, the best team overall, are not playing the players out of their positions as Argentina is and the strategy to beat Argentina has become clear in this tournament. Crash the offensive board and clog the paint on defense.
We could get a fluke win because Brasil fears us a lot, but other than Brasil players chickening out i donīt see a scenario where Nocioni can control Brasil tandem of Splitter-Varejao successfully.
It was a nice run for Argentina but this team needs size desperately and players that can attack the paint.

Brazil's lack of outside shooting again showing in this game. Even if Argentina is old as dirt they can still hit those threes.
ARG gotta be up 15 with some fluky shooting by the end of the 3rd or Brazil has this, tbh
You know your team is fucked up when Barbosa is the highest scorer.
lol Scrubla can't even make freebies
better team taking over.... ARG just chucking up 3s...

Nene looks washed up. Barbosa is looking for a NBA contract, lol.
Argies have some decent Young bigs. Not NBA level yet, but they have bright future.
Brazil should coast to the end now... they were the clear favorites, so no surprises in this game
That Neto kid for Brazil can shoot
You can see why Magnano went to Brazil, tbh.... they have a lot of talent and now finally a good coach...
Brazil better not choke now at the later stages... there's no reason for them not to reach the semis at least
As expected.
Too much size difference, also a scrub like Neto playing like an all star was not counted. And the refs did help a bit by calling some silly fouls on some Argentina key players.
Raulzinho is a scrub?
Please, no more Huertas starting.. guy is a cancer on defense
Magnano made the Varejao starting adjustment.. now make the Raul starting adjustment
Huertas vs Teodosic would be hilarious
lol Lamas just quit as the coach
Argentina underperformed.. first Soccer World Cup and now FIBA..
Argentina did what was expected, tbh... missing the team captain, two of the best players and their emotional leader... too much to overcome by a team long past their prime...
underperformed? these dinosaurs are lucky to even be competitive
Nocioni still plays? :lol are you shittin me???
Manu would have made ZERO difference btw
Plus Brazil is finally playing up to their potential... that's a team that always had, more or less, the talent, but were poorly coached... landing Magnano was huge for them.
Now the expectations are much higher...
The best part: Magnano had balls to put Raul Neto and keep that fucking Huertas out of the game. He is a huge hole in defense.
So Scola is officially washed up. Can't believe that Prigi was actually Argentina's best player (ty Huertas). Raul Neto was a beast today and he has been a pleasant surprise this tournament. I really liked Andy's game as well.
Now Brazil has a hard task against Serbia. They destroyed the KPB brothers.
I can't get over how bad Brazil's back court is. How on Earth can their bigs get 11 of 16 assists? If they even had a decent set of guards, they'd be top three or four in the world.
Lamas failed in building a good team rotation, Nocioni and Scola were already wasted on the half time, I can't even speak about Gutierrez... Campazzo was so irregular in the last games, but I liked how the "B" team played though,
Huertas plays and was developed in Spain, as Raul Neto and Rafa Luz. Larry was a d-league caliber who got the brazilian citizenship to have a chance to play as an international. As I said before, brazilian coaches can't develop shit.
If the hard work aiming the future was something usual in the brazilian-portuguese culture, Brazil would be the 3rd most powerful country of the world alongside U.S. and not in the lower part of the BRICS. People here just want the things already profitable. ;)
:lmao
Olympics is in our home bro, I hope we get babied like Spain did in this world cup
