Per par, the Three Point Contest looks like the only thing worth watching this year.
They changed the format on this skills challenge this year. Two players go at the same time and it's a race. You have to go go through it once, end on a layup and then go back through it again and hit a 3 to win. That three ball might be a huge factor if these guards can't hit it on their first one or two tries.Quote:

Korver is a beast. He is about to make history by becoming the first 50-FG/50-3G/90-FT player, EVER. People bitch about his scoring in the teens, but his effect goes beyond scoring. You literally CANNOT slide off him to help. It's a new terminology called 'gravity', a measure of floor stretching ability whether you shoot or not. He is ALWAYS covered, and shoots those percentages.
I was watching Korver warm-up before the preseason game we played against Atlanta, and I swear that guy must have hit 20 straight threes from the left corner. His shooting mechanics are absolutely unreal.Quote:

DeRozan is overrated, and he missed over a month due to injury anyways. Deron Williams or Joe Johnson? No way in hell do either of them deserve a spot. Kemba Walker is injured, but even if he wasn't I'd still take Teague and Korver over him.
Davis is officially out for the all-star game. I wonder who will replace him.
