we go as far as Diaw takes us
only elite player in his prime on our team
dude needs his rest, he just played FIBA WC and 2 finals
but Pop is still sour because he came overweight from vacations
Pop, just let this thing go and give the guy 2/3 week rest, you know he's our x factor

Testies, do you remember when you were a little kid and you used to blow Bubbles?

Nobody can argue basketball with me, so they do stupid personal attacks

Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
Diaw will be very important vs Okc and gsw. If he doesn't play extremely well we will lose.
-
Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
I agree - get Diaw fresh. While not the same player, the Green 10-day contract (imagine another is coming after this one) should buy him a couple of weeks, though it would mean a lot of Bonner minutes instead.
-
Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
I think he should rest a little more too.
-
Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
Yeah Diaw is to this team as Horry was for 2005 era Spurs. The difference maker.

Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
He was integral to the annihilation of the Heat IMO.. haven't seen the smooth passing offense with him in the game much this year.
-
Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
Boris has been really bad lately. Tonight and last night he was atrocious. Teams don't even respect his shot anymore, which really hurts the offense when he's on the floor tbh.

Yet some morons in here can't appreciate that same winning core because they don't put up the type of stats they did 10 years ago...even though they're still intregal parts of the team

The winning core was Duncan/Manu ten years ago. Didn't realize there was anybody that hated either player? I know Manu gets criticism from the retard crew(hater, greatyacht, ducks, etc) but nobody takes those faggots seriously anyway.

Boris was one of my favorite players last year, but he frankly sucks so far. Bonner is stealing his minutes because he can no longer shoot the ball from further than maybe 16-18 feet.
Pop/RC were very smart to make the last two years of his deal non-guaranteed. Down the line, they can flip him for an asset to a team that wants to cut payroll.

Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
Diaw's wretched play of late and Green's difficulties recently, added to Splitter being pretty bad himself make it completely clear to anyone paying attention that this team eally really really does rely on everybody to get the job done in a dominating fashion.
Poster here are right that last year Diaw had a real shot at being the Finals MVP, he was just that important. Now, he looks AWFUL, and we can't put teams away without him.

Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
^^^^I also agree that Pop is punishing him for not showing up in the shape he wanted him to show up in. He is clearly tired.
I think that also applies to Danny Green, whose play of late has been sub-par. He and Diaw have played more games than anyone else, I believe, and it is showing in their execution (or lack thereof).

Well, at least Danny had really good games during Tony/Kawhi absences, we can't say the same about Boris. In this regular season, he has been totally forgettable to this point.
-
Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
Diaw has regressed to his mean - the contract was just a thank you for last year aimed to make sure he is well cared for and to stop further FA acquisitions helping the team
-
Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
Diaw is an important piece for another playoff run. Hopefully Pop can find a way to rest him and Manu (Timmy too) during the homestretch + the games just before the ASB. Those guys had to play too many minutes in December and I'm sure they could use some rest.

Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
Diaw sucks dick this year. Can we get rid of all the Frenchmen oN THis team already?

Re: we go as far as Diaw takes us
He also said Boris' cat is losing weight quickly...
